Elise
"Oh my god, Elise! Carter is coming this way! Eek!" Melanie squeals at the sight of Carter, who was sauntering down the halls, over to his locker.
"That's because his locker is right beside mine, genius." I mutter, placing my History textbook inside my locker.
"I heard that," Melanie says.
"Whatever." I say, closing my locker door. Melanie rolls her eyes.
"Hey Elise," Carter greets, opening his locker door. I grunt in response.
"Melanie," He nods in acknowledgement, putting away his textbooks.
Melanie takes a sharp intake of breath, eyes widening as big as saucers. Carter smirks, and I kick him in the shin. He sucks in a breath, but then exhales and gives me a small smile.
"Bye girls," He says mockingly, before walking away to his next class. Melanie exhales loudly, panting and holding on tightly to my arm.
"Oh my fricken God!!! HE SAID MY NAME!!!" Melanie fangirls. I roll my eyes at her dramatics.
"Calm down, you're attracting a crowd." I laugh. Melanie's eyes widen even bigger.
"Bu- but I don't like attention!!" She cries. She starts bawling out of no where, tears rolling down her cheeks. "S- st- stop looking at me-e..!" She cries, trying to wipe away her everlasting tears.
"Mel, what are you doing.."
"I don't know! I just have that random ability to cry for no reason. Then stop once some hot guy comforts me. Oh wait, you're not a hot guy!" She continues crying.
I groan, and look around the large crowd surrounding us. I notice Carter looking confused in the crowd. I pull him towards me.
"Comfort her," I whisper sharply.
"I just forgot my books..!" I shove him towards Melanie, who stops screaming in the middle of the halls.
"Uhh, stop crying!" Carter yells at her. Melanie nods like a possessed zombie. Carter smiles satisfied, and grabs his Math binder from his locker.
Once everyone leaves, I glare at Melanie. "What the hell was that?! You caused a scene in the middle of the hallway!"
Melanie shrugs. "It's natural."
"Ugh, you're like a typical girl on fanfiction." I remark. Melanie thinks about it for a moment, before she agrees.
"Yeah that's actually true." She says, and laughs maniacally.
I look at her weirdly. "Wha-"
Then she stops and keeps a sober face. "Sorry, I have mood swings." She explains, shrugging.
I roll my eyes. "Bipolar," I cough.
Melanie laughs again, before skipping away to Chemistry class while I head over to Math class. With Carter.

Hilary Greene passes out the math worksheets Mr. Lewis gave to us. He usually just hands out worksheets when he doesn't have anything prepared for class. I pull out a newly sharpened pencil and begin to scribble numbers all over my worksheet.
"Psst," A voice whispers. I ignore the whisper, since I know exactly who it's from. "Hey, Elise."
Hmm, I wonder what the answer is for question nine.
"Elise! Psssstt."
I roll my eyes, continuing on to the tenth question.
"Elise, please! It's an emergency!"
A large paper ball smacks me on the middle of my face.
"Ow, what the hell?"
I grab the paper ball from the floor, since the impact was very hard, and uncrumple it. It was blank. I groan.
I throw the paper ball back at Carter, and continue to finish my worksheet. He chuckles, before throwing it at my face again.
"Hey, Elise, I have to tell you something important." He whispers.
"Tell me later," I whisper back, finishing my fifteenth question. He throws another paper ball at me.
"Elise, listen to me." He says quietly. I ignore him, almost finished my worksheet.
"Please Elise, I -"
"Quit it, will you?!" I snap. The whole class turns to stare at me, including Mr. Lewis. "Uh, sorry..?"
Mr. Lewis glares at Carter and I. "It seems like you can't control your temper, Miss Summers. Principals office. Both of you."
"But Mr. Lew -" I begin.
"Now."
I obediently stand up from my seat, and walk outside. Carter follows, not even bothering to look guilty as he saunters out of the class, smirking. Once the door shuts and we're far from the classroom door, I start yelling at him.
"What's your problem?! You got me in trouble!" I snap. "I'm gonna be grounded for even longer!"
Carter shrugs innocently. "It's your fault for not listening."
"My fault?! My fau - okay, that is it!!"
I jump and tackle him, shoving him into the lockers. I fiercely punch him, but he keeps on blocking my punches. I growl, kicking and punching until the tables turn and I'm on the floor, pinned down by him. He pants, sweat dotting his forehead. I glare at him. He smirks, pushing me against the floor even harder.
Oh teacher, please come out of your classroom now, while he's still on top of me.
"Seems like the tables have turned." He breathes.
I struggle against him, praying to the heavens that I will be saved by a teacher. "Get off of me."
He leans towards my ear. "Not a chance," He whispers, before climbing off of me.
Okay, what the fuck? He says 'Not a chance', and then gets off of me? Um, what? That doesn't make any sense.
