After Peter left me standing there, alone and confused, I made my way back to Emma, Mary Margaret, and Regina.
"Where have you been?" Emma immediately questioned.
"You missed seeing Henry," Mary Margaret said, smiling brightly. She held the compact mirror in her hands. "He's okay!"
I grinned, dodging Emma's question. "Thank goodness. So he isn't running around like a Lost Boys just yet?"
"No," Regina said, walking past us. "But if we don't keep moving, who knows what Pan will convince him to do."
We gathered the weapons and supplies and made our way into the woods. Regina led as she cut through trees and stepped over large plants. I had grown used to the flora on Neverland and manuevered through the forest easily now. Regina on the other hand commanded the jungle, using her magic to slice through anything in her path. It was hard to believe we were sisters.
Emma touched my shoulder and motioned for me to lag behind. I did so, reluctantly, hoping she wouldn't ask about where I had been.
"Okay, we both know you weren't going to the bathroom," she said in a low voice as we walked. "What happened?"
Great. I shifted my eyes around uncomfortably, determined not to answer.
She sighed. "Amy, you ran off and you were gone for nearly twenty minutes."
"I could have had a very full bladder, you know," I said stubbornly.
"You could have," she agreed, nodding her head. "But I doubt that."
"And why is that?" I asked, defensively.
"Because Pan coincidentally was not at the camp while we were talking to Henry. Then, he returns and not even a couple minutes later, and so do you."
"Coincidence?" I suggested weakly. She gave me a look and I sighed in defeat.
I glanced up ahead and saw Regina and Mary Margaret had gotten way ahead of us. "Look," I said, lowering my voice further. "I appreciate everything you guys have done for me and for Henry. But the only thing that you need to know is that I am not against you. I'm helping you get Henry back and I want you to get him back."
She thought over what I had said and finally nodded. "Okay. But if I see one sign that you're working against us, I'll have no choice but to tie you up and leave you behind."
"Hey!" I smiled defensively, hoping that was a joke. "If it weren't for me, Peter probably would have caught you talking to Henry. So in a way, you should be thanking me."
"How did you distract him?" she asked curiously, raising her eyebrows.
Heat rushed to my face as I recalled our kiss, "No more questions," I muttered. "We have my nephew to save, remember?"
She smiled slightly and patted my shoulder. "Alright."
We were only walking for a few minutes when a large rustling came from the trees ahead of us. Each of us reacted quickly. Emma whipped out her sword, Mary Margaret had her bow drawn and ready to shoot, Regina had conjured a ball of flames in her hand, and I used Neverland's magic to conjure a knife in my hands similar to the one that rested in Peter's belt.
"Stand down!" A somewhat familiar voice shouted. David and Hook cut their way through the trees. "It's us."
Everyone relaxed. I held my hand up in greeting, but David ran straight to a relieved Mary Margaret and the two of them began kissing with such passion that I was both nauseated and a bit envious.
