Prologue: The Birth Story
The soon-to-be mother kept slipping in and out of consciousness. Her head heavy with sweat and her limbs tense, her body exhausted and weakened. The woes of childbirth were taking a toll on her strength. The pain was so great, she felt like death was near. When she gained consciousness again, she wiped her hair away from her eyes and looked around the room, breathing heavily. There were many people, about 50 important figures who visited from distant lands, standing around her, eagerly desperate to be present for this occasion. At once, everyone felt the aura of the moment: the Great Birth was going to happen very soon.
The room where the woman laid was a large chamber that was dimly lit. Nothing but a faint, shrill light shone upon this woman in labor, who was the important centerpiece of this moment. The maids scurried around her, trying to comfort her with anything she asked for or needed. They were making sure that this great moment would not be tarnished in any way. After all, they were the few lucky first-hand participants in what will soon to be an historic event for everybody: the birth of the new Boss.
This dark room where the woman laid was just one room in a magnificent building, referred to by the people commonly as The Holy Palace of His Birth. This grand structure, which is situated on the highest hill of the city, was built by the common people years ago upon receiving news of a new forthcoming master. They had constructed it for the sole purpose of being His birthplace. It is the first holy site for a new era, a place where the people can take a divine pilgrimage to the place where it all began.
Outside of the palace, throngs of people by the thousands were gathered to be a part of this momentous occasion. The mass was so large that one person could not see the end of it on the horizon. With the birth drawing closer, the crowds were growing restless. The masses, increasingly anxious, were composed of people from many kinds of backgrounds. Many have been waiting for this moment their whole lives. Many of the early-comers had gifts for the soon-to-be-born child. All were present for a common cause. It was a beautiful sight to behold.
Deep in the chambers of the palace, the moment had come. The first cries of the child can be heard throughout the palace halls. The woman held her newborn baby in her arms. Her arms had little strength and the maids helped her coddle the child. Quickly, the surrounding entourage began gathering closely around the new mother, attempting to catch a close glimpse of the infant. The new mother handed her baby to the head maid as she fell back onto her bed, incredibly exhausted, tears in her eyes.
The head maid stepped out onto the large balcony that oversaw the grand plaza below where the people stood waiting, with the newborn child in her arms. Upon the sight of the child, the crowds below let out an enormous, deafening roar. The jubilant cheers extended well beyond the horizon. The sea of overjoyed people were in chaos. The moment had finally arrived.
They gave Him gifts.
They hoisted up murals in His honor.
Statues were built.
Songs were written.
His reign shall never end.
