You're human?

Jakes POV

I shook my head as Bubblegum grabbed a lab coat, then handed one to me and Finn. I dropped marceline on a random hospital bed in the middle of the lab, and slipped on the coat, extending my arms so that they would fit the sleeves.

"So what have you got in plan, princess?", I asked, shuffling my feet in anticipation.

"Well, I recently made this machine that can reset time, with a little help from Peppermint Butler", she opened a cupboard and rummaged around.

"Wow, you're so smart!", Finn fist pumped the air, and blushed a little.

"OK guys, gather round", bubblegum had her fists clenched, her cheeks growing more pink than they usually are from Finns comment.

She unclenched her fist to reveal four tiny boxes. I stared at them.

"What, they're just boxes", I exclaim loudly, frustrated about how this was gonna help Marcy. Maybe we should just leave her dead? No, Finn will not be happy!

"Be patient Jake! OK, each of you pick one up", bubblegum instructed us.

Me and Finn obediently picked up the boxes. I threw mine in the air and expertly caught it, smirking.

"Jake, don't break it", bubblegum warned, her green eyes narrowing,"Now, as you can see, there is a little clip on the side, clip it to your ear", she demonstrates by clipping it to her own ear.

I study the box and realise that bubblegum was right. There was a clip! How did I not see that? I carefully put it on my ear and turned to Finn, who was doing the exact same.

"Now what?", Finn asked, hopping from foot to foot, full of newfound energy.

Bubblegum quickly clips the box onto Marcelines pointy ears before shoving her hands in her lab coat pockets and concludes,",I have the remote for these things. On a press of a button, we will reverse death, but only we will see it".

We both nod. Bubblegum frowns. "Is there a downside to all this?", I ask, expecting the answer to be 'yes'.

"Well, there is a possibility that we could destroy Ooo and teleport to a different world", she says with wide, exited eyes.

I shrug,"As long as we stick together", a smile widely before turning to Finn, holding my hand up for a high-five,"What time is it?"

Finn merrily accepted my high-five,"Adventure time!", we both burst out laughing.

Bubblegum gave us a look that said 'Don't be so childish, Jake, you're supposed to teach Finn to be grown up' before saying out loud,"Are you ready guys?"

We both nodded enthusiastically and bubblegum pressed the button on the remote. I instantly fell to the ground in shock.

"What....", I moan, clutching my aching head, my eyesight fading. I murmured something I didn't even understand, then fell into unconsciousness, along with the others.

I woke up with a sore head. I rubbed the top of my head, feeling...hair. Wait, I don't have hair, I have fur. I gasped as I looked around. It was a normal looking house, but what surprised me was what was out the window. No, not the candy kingdom, but humans in cars, and some walking. Tall and small, some had multi coloured hair!

I turned to Finn. He looked the same as always. His blonde hair in a mess, wearing a baby blue shirt and jeans and black converse, something I've never seen Finn wear.

"Dude", I poked him in the ribs. That was when I noticed I had skin. Human skin! I ran to the nearest mirror and stared, wide eyed into it. I had Browny orange short hair, I wore and orange shirt with black jeans and dirty white socks.

I heard a groan from behind me and knew my friends were waking up. First was Bubblegum. She had long, pink hair, no crown, and a magenta dress on.

"What is the meaning of this!", I growled, putting my hands on my hips and raising an eyebrow.

"Well... I did say it could change the world", I said, guilt was on her face.

Then Finn woke up. He took one look at me and yelled like a maniac. I quickly covered his mouth. "Its OK dude, bubblegum will get us out of this. Won't you", I glared at her green eyes.

"You're human", Finn gasped, his voice muffled from my hand.

We all looked down at a semiconscious marceline. Yup. She was human. She was wearing a dark grey shirt, black jeans and red converse. But no fangs of bite marks. Were human! I let it sink in. Awesome. :)
