Marcelines POV

I groaned as the bell rang for our first lesson, physics. The guy looked like me, Marshall was his name, was also in the same class and showed us to the science corridor.

"We need to line up against the wall, Mr Butler doesn't like people standing in the middle of the corridor", he instructed as if he was a teacher himself.

Rolling my eyes, I leaned against the wall, daydreaming about nothing in particular. Beside me, I could hear the others muttering about how to get back to Ooo or whatever.

"Hello, I see we have some new students, my name is Mr Butler", a tall man with white hair that had little red stripes in it stood before me, Finn and bonnie.

"Sir, this is Marceline, Bonnibel and Finn", Marshall pointed to each of us as he said our names.

Mr Butler nodded and ushered us up some stairs, turned left and walked into his classroom. I looked around, tables were spread out and I'm guessing you had to sit in twos. Great.

"Marshall, you sit with Marceline. Fionna with Finn and Bonnibel with Bubba" the teacher instructed, motioning me to sit on the back desk closest to the right back window.

"Awesome sauce!", Marshall fist pumped the air and sat down, grinning mischievously at me.

"Err, OK then?", I frowned slightly and sat down. I placed my bag on the desk and got out all the things I needed for class.

"Hello to you to!", he pouted sarcastically at me, his blue grey eyes shining with an emotion I couldn't quite catch.

Sighing, I looked up from Marshall, to the whiteboard. The learning Objective was already up and sir was doing the register.

"Marceline, you know, the land off Ooo is real, so don't go thinking that we're all crazy", Marshall whispered, his tone serious.

"Yeah right, you guys are just kidding", I turned away from his gaze to my sketch pad and started to doodle.

"No we're not, this is serious!", he hissed, his eyes flashing with slight anger.

I put my sketch pad back in my bag as the teacher strolled up to me, placing a green book on my desk. I simply nodded before he walked off.

I grabbed my pen and wrote down my name, the subject and the teachers name before turning to the first page. I quickly wrote down the Learning Objective which seemed to be about trying to learn how far away each planet is from the sun or something like that.

Marshall put his hand on mine and gazed into my eyes. My heart skipped a beat as he smirked.

"Look, the land of Ooo is real, and so is the land of Aaa, you just lost your memory", he awkwardly let go of my hand and turned back to his own book which was torn and crumpled round the edges.

"How could I lose my memory?", I ask, looking at the set work we had on the whiteboard.

Mr Butlers scruffy writing was hard to read but I think it read, turn to page 61-62 and answer all the questions.

"Because you died", Marshall said glumly, now avoiding eye contact with me.

"How am I dead when I'm here?", I ask, tilting my head to the side and raising an eyebrow.

"Bubblegum revived you", he replied, turning to the set page in his textbook.

"How?", was all I could muster out. My eyes widened in sudden realisation that this could all be a dream or something.

Marshall turned to me, once again resting his hand on mine. He smiled reassuringly at me and pointed to the first question, then to his book,"Copy my answers if you like".

I nod, jotting down his answer. He quietly chuckled as I scribbled down the last word.

"What so funny?", I ask, getting slightly annoyed with him for being so mysterious.

"I like how you agree so quickly, that all", a cocky smirk was painted on his face as he added,"you little rebel".

I smirk back this time, giving him a playful punch,"Thanks", I wink at him before going back to my work.

Thank you for reading. I noticed that this book has been getting a good amount of reads but no votes or comments. Don't you like it? :( Well, I enjoy writing it so whatever. *Sobs quietly in corner whilst banging head against wall*
