"Zane." Blain said "why are we heading south?" i looked at him "we are going to see what shape West Virginia is in." i said "the people who lived there have always been friendly." he looked at me and said "i thought we were heading west. to kill Benny and his gang?" i just looked at him, giving him a look that let him know he just sounded really idiotic.

"Blain. we are heading to West Virginia to get supplies and since we've got the caps to hire some guns. at least.... at least one each." he looked back and said "Zane.......... the kids dont need to see that." all i said was "no they dont but they do need protection that unfortunately we can not provide in this new age." he looked at me with a face that told me i was right.

"Well then lets get moving." i said. we started south once again. to get there we needed to go through Kentucky and we decided we wanted to go through Tennessee as well due to its vacancy. Tennessee was such a beautiful and peaceful place. I'd say it was an area where it had been barely touched by any of the radiation or the blasts. it actually had green trees and deer, rabbits, and anything else we could need.

"And Blain." i said "if you want to at any time find a woman of your own and settle down. Josh and i though, we were like brothers." he looked ahead like he wanted to "nah Zane. this is more important." he said with his arms out and swinging side to side "all of us are family." I looked at him like finally something right. "yes we are." i said "and family sticks together."

Jess came running up and put her arms around us both. "guys i just wanted to say.............. thank you for helping me with this." she said "i was going to sneak out and do it by myself. If i didnt end up dead in my room." i looked at her and said "i know you would have." she just slowed down to go back to the kids...

... We finally arrived
