My Angel in disguise

Dear friend,

The rain rattles through the empty lane,
I gaze at the little drops dancing insane,
The light reflects through the drops of bliss,
I softly try to embrace peace fading my anguish .

The drops of heaven play a melody,
My heart wishes to dance in felicity,
Step by step, I crawl to touch that drops of glee,
Trying to touch the eutopia I always wished to see.

Just then a thunder pierces through my fantasy,
My thoughts come crashing over my reality,
My hopes come crashing from a million to none,
I crawl back , scared , back to square one .

My heart wishes to dance in the rain,
Washing every scar that inflicted pain,
But my mind won't let it break the chain,
Forgetting the memories that hold me insane.

Even if my mind wishes to run azure breaking the chain ,
It fears thunder more than it loves the magic of rain.

In the battle between love and fear,
The pleadings of love I refuse to hear,
Submitting to fear , I longingly stare,
At the love , my heart wishes to wear,

I choose fear for I'm not strong to fight,
Against the nightmares that trap my might,
I'm not strong to defend love and it's light,
No hopes grace the horizon of my sight.

In the street I was left to be,
An outcast no one wishes to see,
All alone, amidst the thunder and rain,
My infant heart scared and drenched in pain .

I craved warmth but there was none,
And then I saw her my angel in person,
She held me in her loving arms,
My saviour against everything that harms.

She was my smile and my happiness,
She was a knight and I was her fortress.

I thought I could see in her eyes how much she loved me,
She brought me up unlocking everything that was meant to be.

But you know how they say ,
A child is unknown to hate & betray,
She acted out her part every day,
And I searched color in her heart so grey.

Her love disguised a chain that held me hostage,
My angel turned demon , unveiling the mask of sage.

My worst nightmare is that life shattering day,
When I first saw the face of betray.

Those devils their eyes shining with an evil ray,
She welcomed them in , she sold me away.

In their red hell, I was chained to stay,
I lived a life dying every day,

Piece by piece they ripped my honour,
My life came crashing at a dead end corner.

I have died beyond the portals of inferno,
With devils that hunt every trace of glow,
I have been caged beyond those dark red walls,
Seen the flamingo of my dreams burn as it falls.

I've heard its scream echo through my heart,
I've heard its cries as it was ripped apart .

I've seen it struggle and strive,
I've seen its wings being burnt alive.

When I was caged beyond those bars,
I dreamt to feel this rain, to touch these stars,
Now that I'm free from those bars,
My fears carve new scars.

I know this life is an island,
Waiting to be explored before it meets its end,
But there are wolves that claim these grounds,
Their eyes hold terror that weaves and bounds,
Their hearts so voracious and vile,
These wolves , they hunt my smile.

Their clouds bring thunder shading my sunshine,
Stealing all lights I ever called mine.

I am scared of truths for they might be lies,
I am scared of love for it might be disguise.

If my heart is so scared to love again,
If it shrieks every day crying in pain,
If these haunted memories always stain,
The nightmares my soul wishes to refrain,

How can I see a rainbow beyond the storming rain ?

P.S : With this I share with you a piece of my heart,
My life's deepest and darkest part,
I keep my trust on you ,
Even if it was broken by a few,
I hope you know your friend from up there,
He's smiling proudly for he knows you care,
For a broken girl who's claimed by fear.
