"Ms. Williams?", my teacher called.

"56", I answered. I love math. It's just so simple. Well, for me, anyways.

"Correct!", she called.

Briinnnnnnnnnggggg!

Finally! School is out for the year. I put my textbook into my bag, and practicly ran outside. I took a deep breath.

"I love summer break!", I yelled into the wind, which got me some unwanted attention.

"Nothing to see here, go back to your lives", I heard a familiar voice say.

"Abby! Dylan! It's summertime!", I said happily.

"We noticed. so, you wanna come over to my place? It's my little brothers birthday, and I have to be there.", Dylan said.

"Sure, might be fun.", I replied, happy to get away from my house. My parents have been arguing lately, I think they might get a divorce. Oh well, nothing I can do about it. We started walking towards Dylan's house, talking on the way.

"So, how old is Carter turning?", Abby asked.

"Eight", Dylan replied.

"What are we gonna do?", I asked.

"I have to finish decorating the cake, you guys can help if you want."

"Sure! That sounds like fun!", Abby said enthusiastically. We talked about the cake the rest of the way there.
