"What now?", Daniel asked.

I swooped my hand behind me, and twisted my body.

"Today, we dance"

Then I broke out in the mashed potatoes, swishing my hair, causing it to fall out of my bun. Everybody just stared at me. Then Dylan did the running man with a smile you would find on Barbie. Then Abby joined in, and did the moonwalk. The boys acted like we were nuts. There the ones standing like idiots. Ashton, Michael, and Luke looked at each other, then they each grabbed sticks and pretended like they were doing a concert. Daniel and Carter started shuffling their feet. I was still mashing potatoes.

I like potatoes.

We had went through, like, five songs when they started singing a slower one. I'm no expert on dancing, but I knew I needed a parter. I stood there for a minute, then Daniel walked up to me.

I swear, that was the moment I realized it was raining.

When did it start?

We started dancing to the beat of the music. I have to admit, he was light on his feet. I wondered how I feel about Daniel. I really like him, as a friend. I think? But even then, what about Carter? And I may or may not have a tiny crush on Ashton. Daniel saw my troubles.

"Something wrong?", he whispered. I shook my head no. I didn't want to talk about it with anyone, much less him.

The song went off, and I went back to my house.

"Bye guys"

"Bye"

I stayed inside, and tried to keep my mind occupied. I watched Brain Games. I played sudoku. I even gave my pug a bath. Finally I decided just to go to sleep.
