Still August
"So now that I have my dress, we need to decide on what you wear!" Summer said with double the excitement that was in me.
"I think I'm fine with wearing my hoodie and jeans."
She pouted her lip and gave me a tearful look.
"I'm sorry, I am NOT wearing a dress,"
So that was that and she didn't ask again. If I haven't mentioned before, I work in a really old book store. Now you're thinking what kind of a 17 year old works at a book store?!
A very important fact about me: I absolutely love books. I don't care if that is geeky or nerdy or weird. I just love them.Anyway, so today I'm taking Summer with me to the book store, with the hopes of getting her a job.
"Okay I'm driving!" Summer ran, I mean she really ran for it, I have never seen her this fast. She jumped into the drivers seat and turned the ignition on.
"Yay you're not even arguing with me!" I smiled to myself thinking I should've given up arguing with her a long time ago. We are just too different.
Then you might ask, so why are you guys such close friends?
Well, that's a story for another day.
I'm joking.
It all started in year 10 at secondary school. You can probably imagine, I was the weird one with my hood up and headphones on roaming the hallways like a loser. Summer was different. She was the most popular, the prettiest girl in probably the whole school. She's the one where they say every girl wants to be her and every boy wants to be with her.
One day, Summer went to a party and at the party something terrible happened. I would tell you, but I want to explain it all properly. I was her only friend after that incident. The only person who would speak to her and comfort her. Since then, we have been the closest of friends.
