"I think we should play some BTS, don't you?" She didn't even wait for my reply, which would have been a no in case you're wondering, and turned up Save Me. Okay, I admit, they are pretty good. I mean, extremely good.
"SAVE ME SAVE ME, BEFORE I FALL, FALL..."
"Hey, Summer, watch o-Before I could finish, the car had hit a motorcyclist.
"What the fu*k! Are you crazy?" The motorcyclist, who seemed perfectly fine, was standing in front of the car, shouting probably all the swear words he knew. He was dressed in all black, and more than half of his face was covered. He had a really foreign accent but I couldn't tell where it was from as his whole mouth was covered. Even his eyes were covered so I wasn't even sure where to look.
Summer was frozen on the spot and it didn't look like she was going to do anything anytime soon, so I, being the amazing person I am, jumped out of the car and mentally prepared my speech.
"Hey, I am so sorry about that, are you okay? Do you need anything?" I tried to look as worried as I possibly could. That's when I realised, I should've gone into acting.
"I'm fine, just tell that girl to be careful next time,"
And that was that, the mysterious, angry boy went on his bike and zoomed off.
Except, he had dropped something. I bent down and picked up a ripped, ancient, black book.
"Hey Vivi, what's wrong?" Summer was getting out of the car to see what I had found.
"Did that guy that we just hit drop that?" Now her eyes were getting larger with fear or excitement, I don't know.
"Yes but what do we do with this?"
Snatching the book out of my hand, she said "Of course, we have to look at what is inside,"
"No, we can't do that there could be something private in there," but Summer was too keen and she wouldn't leave this conversation without at least taking a look at the first page.
"Look, if we don't look inside, how can we give this back to him?"
"I know but it just feels so wrong, what if when we give it back he gets really angry?" I knew that we had to look inside one way or another.
"Okay I'm going to open it, we'll just look at the first page and try and find his details and return it to him,"
"Wait let's get in the car first,"
So we went in and with trembling hands, we flipped the book open to the first page."Oh my God..."
I don't think we were prepared enough for what we saw next.
