"All of these excuses
Say I'm the one that made you ruthless
Well you're the reason I'm crazy
And with you, I feel useless
I let you have it
You took me for granted
Always wanna play the victim
When they don't know the truth is
You left me this scar on my heart
When I'd never take it that far"- H.E.R.
KIAH POV
"Jordan why you always drinking wine? Where the henny at? Patron, shit something hard. You always fuckin with soft shit, all that white wine and lightskin nigga in ya system gone make you sick!""Girl you a guest, you'll drink what's given and I'll take whatever dick I want. Put Empire on."
"Power is better" I grumbled lowly. I clicked on the newest episode of Empire and took the shiny opal grinder out of my bag. I didn't want my freshly manicured nails getting all fucked up by this new shit I had, the weed stuck to my fingers as I plucked it from the stems. Glasses clinked together as Jordan struggled to play bartender. "Keem gone be hot about you drinking his Henny, I'm just letting you know now" she poured my favorite into the glass on ice and handed it to me. "I'll just let him hit this, he'll be straight." I licked the seal on the fresh Rillo running the flame of my lighter over it carefully to ensure everything stayed snugly in place.
"Mmmmmmmm, fuck!" Samara's voice rang faintly across the living room. My body felt tingly from the sound of her voice in ecstasy. "What's going on in there" I raised an eyebrow and motioned toward Mara's door. Jordan scowled at my piqued interest. "She talks a little in her sleep and sometimes her dreams are a bit-vivid. Don't read to much into it, I know you trynna be nasty."
I clutched my chest in fake shock. "Wha- I- Jojo! I would never!"She sucked her teeth as she sat next to me, dropping her stemless glass of bougie ass Chardonnay on the wooden table. "Just watch the damn show and wait for her to come out, she should be awake any minute now. And I told you not to call me that shit!"
"But Jooooo, you let Keem call you that"
"Okay but I love him though, what's that got to do with you?"
"You love me tooooo" I nuzzled the side of her face while she shoved me with her shoulder.
"Barely hoe" she grumbled as she cracked a smirk.
"Aww, I love yo ol' grumpy ass too!" I shook her gently. She rolled her eyes in reply.
"I must love you a little to put up with your annoying ass." She cut her eyes at me and grinned. "Now shh! You interrupting Cookie being petty."
Mara opened her bedroom door rubbing her eyes. She had on a slightly sheer white cutoff tank top and some short drawstring shorts on. I was now in full view of her figure. Her big breasts with her nipples poking out, her thick ass thighs, I knew I was staring but I didn't care. Tendrils of her curly hair fell out of her messy bun as if they were running away from the oppression of being so tightly bound together.
"Kiah!" Jordan nudged me. "Stop eyefucking her so damn hard she might run back in her room" she whispered. I straightened up, making eye contact instead of taking in the rest of her. She was so beautiful even then. "Hey Kiah" Samara said smiling. I couldn't tell if she was being shy or just feeling me extra hard but a rose pink blush formed on her cheeks, giving me my answer. "Wassup Mara" I replied coyly. "So who was you in there fantasizing about? Those moans sounded a little..enticing." I licked my lips as Jordan pinched the back of my arm. "Ow what the fuck!" I punched Jordan in the arm returning her low blow before turning my attention back to the woman at hand.
"Oh I- it was nothing. I just sleep weird sometimes."
She looked at the floor, her entire face a beet red.
"Really? I could've sworn I heard you call my name." I rose up walking toward her before Jordan could get a good kick in, she so damn aggressive. Mara turned redder. "I said it was nothing!" I grabbed her hand but she left to go back to her bedroom before I could stop her so I followed her to make sure she was okay. I'm nice like that.
"Mara what's wrong? I was just playing with you girl, I barely heard anything."
"Can you just leave me alone?"
"No! Not until you tell me what's bothering you." I sat next to her on her bed. Her room was dimly lit, giving me just enough view of her curves..and the wrinkles in her forehead from being all upset or whatever. I placed my hand on her knee.
"I can't do this! Whenever I'm around you it's almost like I can't breathe and when you're not around I fantasize about when I'm gonna see you next or how far I would go if..."
"If you weren't with India." I moved closer. "Where is she now?" I cocked my head to the side to get a full view of her face. She looked away.
"She's...out. She went with some other girl tonight." She sniffled, her face still turned away from me. I got on my knees wedging myself between her legs so that she couldn't avoid my gaze anymore.
"You don't really want that do you? That girl from high school that would put you before anyone else, she's gone now but I'm here. You don't have to worry about that with me. You're more than enough for me Mara and if she felt even halfway the same as I do she wouldn't have left you alone. Kiss me."
Pain seared through the side of my face as she slapped me. "This is YOUR FAULT! How can I believe you?! How can I trust you when you're the reason we're having these problems! She's right about you, you're poison."
"How can you trust her? She did what I told you she'd do all along. She flipped it on you didn't she? Like she didn't have that girl on standby, like she just popped up out the blue? I walked that road before you Mara. You're free now to do whatever you want just like I was. And me being poison well, the pot always calls the kettle black. The proof is right here she's cheating on you right now and I'm here offering you my loyalty. Take it. Choose me."
She took my face in her hands, kissing me passionately as she pulled me onto the bed. "Will you just sleep with me tonight?" She offered quietly.
"Yes. Gladly."
