The Perfect Dragon Wedding

CHAPTER TWO: HOW TO FIND THE PERFECT WEDDING DRESS

Astrid: Dragons?! Hiccup I love that Idea!

Hiccup: I already know exactly what to do with the theme and same for decorations. So have Valka take you to find a wedding dress first thing tomorrow morning.

Astrid overjoyed kisses Hiccup and hugs him tightly.

Hiccup: Hey thanks for adjusting my back.

Astrid chuckles and they both head to bed.

Next morning Hiccup woke up to the sound of two familiar female voices. Valka and Astrid. He yawns and rubs his eyes. Toothless jumps on him as soon as he got up.

Hiccup: Woah there bud! We'll go in second. I need to ask Astrid something first. Toothless follows his rider to the living room. The pair see the two ladies talking while Cloudjumper laid down for a quick rest.

Hiccup: Morning.

Valka: We're talking about getting your future wife a wedding dress.

Astrid: Good morning Chief.

They all laugh. Hiccup grabs a cup and fills it with water.

Hiccup: Ok,well plans for searching for a wedding dress?

Astrid: Yeah,we were wondering if Trader Johann might have some. I saw one the last time he came here on Berk.

Hiccup drinks his water and nods in agreement.

Valka: We should get going now. The sooner we get you your dress the better.

Hiccup: Yeah,and it's about time to go and start patrolling.

Astrid: Ok,bye Hiccup.

Hiccup: Bye Astrid, Bye mom.

He kisses Astrid goodbye.

As they all go out the door they see Stormfly and Toothless rubbing noses and making a purring noise.

Astrid and Hiccup: Ummm...Ok...

Valka laughs.

Valka: Looks like they take after their riders.

Astrid: Stormfly, come on girl. Let's go.

Stormfly looks up at everyone and rubs noses with Toothless one more time before going to her owner.

Valka: Let's go Cloudjumper. The ladies leave a bewildered Hiccup and a cheerful Toothless behind.

Hiccup: Ummm...Mind telling me what was going on there bud?

Toothless tilts his head at him. Hiccup laughs and pets him.

Hiccup: C'mon bud. It's patrolling time. He got on Toothless and rode off.

*30 minutes later*

Meanwhile Astrid and Valka spot Trader Johann's Ship.They land near the ship.

Trader Johann: Ah,hello there dragon riders. What may I interest you in t- wait. Astrid?! Is that you. Oh my gods! You've certainly have changed.

The ladies walk aboard his ship full good trades.

Astrid: Thanks Johann.

He turns to see the Valka. Johann gasps.

Trader Johann: V-Valka?! Goodness it's been 20 years! You're alive?!

She chuckles while in search for wedding dresses.

Valka: Yes,I am still alive.

Trader Johann: You must tell me your story of survival against the nasty dragon who was said to end your life.

Astrid looked at a couple of weapons he had.

Astrid: Later Johann we're busy trying to find something.

Trader Johann: Ah,but of course. Is it the usual? Armory? Weapons? Squid Ink?

Valka: No,you see we are looking for a wedding dress. This young lady is getting married to my son.

Johann widens his eyes.

Trader Johann:  Married you say? To Hiccup? Well no further chat ladies. I shall come back from my secret base to get all the wedding dresses I have acquired through out my journeys.

The girls are excited. They become even more excited when they see Johann return with wedding dresses.

Trader Johann: There we are. The best quality wedding dresses. All for an affordable price.

Astrid and Valka search for the perfect one. Valka reaches and grabs one.

Valka: What about this one?

Astrid remember Hiccup wanted the theme to be dragons. So how was she gonna make this dress dragon-like? Suddenly an idea popped into her head. Astrid: Johann I'll take that wedding dress.

Johann: Wonderful.

Valka takes out 3 gold coins.

Johann: No need Valka. Consider this wedding dress a small early wedding gift. Astrid and Valka smile.

Astrid: You're to kind Johann. Thank you. Come on Valka. I got a little sewing I need to do. The girls get on their dragons and ride off. Valka: So what are you planning to do with it?

Astrid looks at the dress then at Stormfly's needles. Astrid: I'm gonna make it dragon-like. Stormfly I'll need a couple of needles. Maybe 6 or 7. Stormfly agrees.

*When they get home*

Astrid and Valka check to see if Hiccup has returned from patrolling.

Astrid: Good he's still patrolling. Do you have the needles Valka? Valka: Yes.

They grab some white fabric and start sowing. Astrid sows on three of the needles on each shoulder and the last one just under where the dress starts to go up to her breasts. Valka sows the white fabric onto the back of the dress. She shapes it into two Deadly Nadder wings. Once they finish Astrid goes in the room to try it on. Valka: Are you ready?

Astrid: Yes,I'm coming out.

There she stands. Valka gasped. She sees Astrid wearing a beautiful sparking wedding dress with the Deadly Nadder needles adding the perfect dragon touch to it. Astrid: What do you think? Valka: Hiccup is going to love you more than ever when he sees you. Astrid smiles. Now all they have to do is wait until wedding day.
