I felt someone's arms wrap around my waist from behind. I turned around a look down at Riley.

"Hey Baby, ready for school again?" I asked picking her up off the pavement.

She wrapped her arms around my neck and pouted.

"No, I am not. I don't want to go back to school. Can't we ditch?" she asked while kissing my neck.

I chuckled, "No Smiley Riley, we can't. Come on it won't be that bad" I say setting her back on the ground.

"Lies" she mutters trudging off towards the school from the senior parking lot.

I follow her and put an arm around her pulling her closer. She automatically wraps both arms around me. It's kind of difficult walking like this but we don't mind.

We walk into first period just missing the late bell. Luckily we find two seats in the back of the classroom, unfortunately next to a group of freshman though.

We take our seats. I sit behind Riley and she scoots all the way down in her seat clearly not happy. She doesn't like school that much and I don't blame her.

But I hate seeing her upset so I rub reassuring circles on the back of her neck gently massaging. She relaxes a little and turns around briefly to give me a smile.

I notice the freshmen are staring at us like a zoo exhibit so I give them the death stare.

"What?" I say sternly.

They all shake their heads and glue their eyes to the front of the room.

Finally the bell rings and I stand grabbing both our bags. I sling them both over my shoulder.

Riley slips her hand into my back pocket and kisses me on the cheek.

I drape my arm around her shoulders and we walk out of class.

The rest of the day passed just fine until the end of seventh period. When I got to class my teacher stopped me and handed me a letter. I took a seat in the

back by myself since Riley had Yearbook this period.

The teacher droned on about usual first day back to school speeches and class rules but I opened my letter curious.

I skimmed over the letter briefly only reading the beginning and end still soaking up what was happening.

2010 Semester Spain Study Abroad Program? What? How could I be accepted if I never even applied... parents.

Shit! I don't believe they did this.

I read over the letter again-Wait. I'll be gone for four months!

Riley. That was the first thing that entered my mind.

I was excited, this was kind of cool but not if Riley wasn't going to be there. I can't. I can't leave Riley for four months. We've never been apart for more than a week at a time and that was only when she had a family reunion up in Colorado. Even then we were on the phone non-stop.

But how could I turn down an opportunity like this? Say no to my parents? Disappoint them?

I looked at the paper in my hands again thinking this little thing just turned my world upside down.

Riley. What am I going to tell Riley?

I can't go. I won't. But I have to.

Comment you guys and vote pretty please. Tell me what you think of the pictures too!!!!!!

I need your opinions and if you have an idea you want me to write about tell me!!!!
