Eight

Third POV

In a dark abandoned warehouse, there were three people standing by the familiar armored suit worn by Warlord.

"I think we are ready to go back out there," Said an Asian man in a black suit.

"Kaito," Spoke a man in the shadow near the Warlord suit, "I can't keep staying in the shadows."

The Asian man turns to the man in the shadow and grins, "I know my Warlord, but after we get what we want, you can go back to whatever life you want."

The other man, more visible with dark hair and pale skin tone, held onto a tablet as he walked to Kaito to look at some things.

"The suit is perfectly ready for another test against Spider-Man and Static." He said.

"Perfect," Kaito said.

Peter POV

"It's alien! Really?" I spoke.

We looked at the energy source of the blaster. Studying it from a safe distance, because according to Bruce it may be unstable.

"Chitauri to be exact." Bruce said.

Emma looks from the energy source to everyone in the room, "Isn't that the alien species that attacked New York because of Loki? When you guys became the Avengers?"

Tony crosses his arms on his chest, "Yeah nearly six years ago."

Wanda looks at the energy source, "What kind of power source is this? Plasma?"

Emma looks more into it, "Nah. It seems way too advanced to even be plasma." She said.

All eyes shift to her.

"Really?" Tony looks at her.

Emma noticed all the eyes on her, "I mean- that is just my opinion. Look at the level of density it has, its clearly far too dense to be plasma."

Bruce taps on the tablet in his hands, "She is right, Tony."

Emma awkwardly just brush part of her hair behind her ear as she looked away from the others. I look at the energy source and then turn to Tony.

"So despite knowing the energy source we're still at square one since we don't know who had it." I say.

"Exactly," Tony said.

Tony looks from the energy source then at Emma. He glanced at Bruce, telling him to keep digging if he can find anything. Also turning to Natasha to tell her to go undercover and try and sniff out the original source.

Tony then turns to Emma, "Sparks,"

Emma looks at him. She gives him a questionable look.

"You. With me." Tony motioned.

I look at them, "Mr Stark-." I took a few steps.

Tony shakes his head, "No, I need a word with Emma alone."

Emma said nothing but followed Tony out of the room. I frown. Knowing that I can't be with her for whatever was going on. I stood there, Natasha walked pass me to leave and Bruce was working. Vision left the room and Wanda was right behind him. However, she stopped by me.

"Tell her how you feel," Wanda said and left the room.

Emma POV

"Tell me the truth how did you get those powers of yours." Tony said.

I frown, "You don't believe me." I cross my arms on my chest.

He turns to me, "I have reason to believe you are lying." He said.
