Peter POV

When Tony got Kaito into custody, he had called Happy to drive myself and Emma back to the tower. I know May was probably worried, so I let her know that we were in fact on the train but were on our way to Tony's tower. May seemed a bit at ease hearing we were both okay, but when I glance to Emma, I don't think we're both okay.

She was closed off, quiet. Happy seemed to have noticed as well, whenever I spoke, the driver didn't seem annoyed.

Emma basically hugged herself. Looking out the window and fighting back whatever feelings she was bottling up.

When we did arrived at the tower, Happy escorted us up, apparently Tony requested him to do so. Assuming Tony wanted a hundred percent that we got to the tower safely.

Once we reached the top floor, he stayed in the elevator as we entered the room. First up, Leslie hugged Emma.

"Oh I'm so glad you're alright." Her mom said to her and then noticed me, "And you."

I blinked in confusion as this women embraced me after hugging her daughter.

"I'm so glad you're looking after my daughter," Leslie said.

I doubt her mom knew about my secret, and I doubt May or Tony ratted it out to her. Although, I think this is because she heard that I was there at the scene and helped her out.

"Mom," I hear Emma said, "We found the guy who made me into-," She paused to make electricity appear in her hands, "This."

Leslie looks at Emma again and hugs her daughter. Emma held onto her mom and began to sob. I awkwardly stepped out, giving the two some privacy.

Emma POV

After comfort from mom, I wanted comfort from someone else. I release hold from my mom and peaked around for Peter. He was standing on the balcony looking at the view of the city.

"Mom," I said softly, "I- uh,"

She seemed to have understood because she smiled to say, "Go. Talk to him."

I move pass my mom and look at Peter as I walked over. His broad shoulders hanging as he leaned against the railing.

I bit my lip and took another step forward before I stopped. I was literally by the balcony, almost outside like Peter.

"Uh- I never- I never thanked you for tonight." I spoke.

Peter's head spun around.

"For protecting me when the train derailed," I said, "Getting me out. Being my partner when we dealt with Kaito."

I subconsciously took a step forward. I looked into his chocolate brown eyes. He expression was hard to read. I wasn't sure what to think of it.

I felt his hands hold onto mine, "Emma, I care about you so much. There isn't anything I wouldn't do for you." He said.

I felt my heart pause for a second before I found the courage to speak again, "And you are one of the most important person in my life, Peter." I said.

He took one of his hands and reached up to my face. He brushed my blonde hair that was loosen behind my ear. He looks into my blue eyes and smiles.

"Am I interrupting?" A familiar voice asks.

Quickly, Peter and I separated from each others grasp and glanced at the person who asked the question that made us panic. Standing there was Tony Stark.

"Hey, kiddos." He grins.

We look at him. He motions for us to follow him, which we did. Out of the balcony and into one of his labs.
