Chapter 16: Run away

Y/n's POV

The Ferris wheel is huge and so high! You can almost see the whole city.

"Look! We can see the hotel we're staying!"

I pointed out at the four story building a few blocks away from the whole carnival.

"Sweet baby cheesecakes! This is so amazing! " I admired the beauty of the whole city, in front of me.

"Yeah" Killua's response.

"But nothing can compare the beauty that's in front of me"

I was shocked and flattered at his statement. I mean he's looking and facing directly at me!

"W-what...?" I stuttered.

But he chuckled instead.

"You know (y/n), you're brains and beauty, all guys would go head over heels on you...You're brave, brave to face all problems and unexpected things that happened to you, good things or bad. Actually I...know you ran away from home just to come with us... Thank you... You did all the things just to make us happy...but that doesn't ignore the fact that you ran away and that's a bad thing..."

Yes, its true... I ran away from home just to be with them. I mean its my first summer vacation with friends! I was so excited and all but in the end I wasn't allowed to come!

My parents are so strict about hanging out with friends lately, its because of my sister... My sister, 20 years of age... Got pregnant... At such a young age, of course my parents were disappointed. She's the heir of (l/n) family. Instead of making them proud, she prioritized her own pleasures and all. Because of that, my parents made me the heir instead of her, of course i denied the suggestion! I hate it when someone expects me to do the things for their satisfaction and achievements.

But all that doesn't gave me an explanation on why does he know about all this. I was going to ask when he cut me off.

"I'll explain later but please hear me out." He started

"The first time I saw you , I despise you... But of course its because you've got all the things that a person would want, not all people are like you, I was jealous. But the time came by, I didn't expect to be friends with you. By that time we became friends I knew it was all childish thoughts to hate you" he stopped when he chuckled lightly.

"Instead of liking you" His eyes beamed with joy and pure sincereness.

*Ba dump* my heart skipped a beat for the third time.

"Um" I started.

"You know, I only realized that I like you, when we celebrated our friendship." He chuckled once more.

"When we sang at that contest, I knew I'm in love with you"

This time he's holding my right hand with both of his'. Holding it gently.

"(y/n) (l/n), I love you and I'll prove that to you everyday, I don't care what other people says because I don't think I can live even a day without you by my side." Then he kissed my hand softly and gently.

The guy that I liked, my best friend. My previous enemy. Just confessed to me.

"I..." I sighed.

This time I'm the one holding his hands caressing them gently as the cab was getting higher in slow motion.

"I knew confessions will happen anyway just not at a time like this but... Of course I had hesitations and doubts. That what if things won't go the way that I expected what if it'll ruin our friendship and all. To be honest, what if your love for me was just for the time being-"

"Then I'll prove it to you everyday, I won't get tired of loving you (y/n)."

He gripped my hands and kissed it softly again and again.

I'm sure I liked him, I'm just not sure if I love him.

"I accept your feelings for me Killua, I like you " I smiled

His eyes widened and beamed with joy!

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! (Y/n)! Thank you for giving me a chance! " Then he hugged me like theres no tomorrow.

Just before he was about to give me a peck on the cheeks, the cab opened revealing the blonde from before.
