Leah

It's been a year since I came to the States. My new family is......nice? I don't know how to express my feelings about this whole new family stuff.

My new mother is a really really nice person. She treats me like her own daughter. Just like dad had told me, I now have three siblings. Mason, my brother, who is the same age as me. Valry and Walry, the twins, who are five years younger. I love Val and Wal, they're angles.

I remember, when I first came, they jumped on me and started screaming with excitement.

A year back

"BIG SIS!!!!YOUR HERE!!!"

I was kinda shoked, but I liked the warm welcome.

"Hi I'm Valry!"

"And I'm Walry!"

They were adorable. Completely identical to eachother. Their black locks flowing down, till their shoulders and big eyes. They had deep blue eyes.

"It's nice to meet you big sis!" They said it in unison. Wow. Twins are wired and nice!. They noticed my bandages.

"Big Sis, what happened?" Valry held my right hand and caressed it.

I really didn't want to tell them.

" I um..."

"She was fighting against bullies!" Dad to the rescue.

"Wow!!" They seemed really excited.

"But, what about the one on your head" Walry asked me.

"I head butted one of them" I winked at her. They laughed and pulled Mr into the house.

It was really small. To my right, there was a shoe stand and alley leading to the seating room at the left. The twins pulled me and had me seated on a pink couch. So fluffy.

"We'll go tell mommy!" They ran through the door way situated right in front of where I was seated.

The room was brightly lit. The curtains had a flower pattern on them. There was a fire place to my right. I stood up to look at the pictures.

There was one with Matilda holding a small boy in her arms. He was smiling brightly.

'He must be Mason.'

There were pictures of Mason with the twins. But there didn't seem to be a single picture of their father. Strange.

"Leah! Welcome! It's so good to finally meet you!"

It was Matilda. She had dark brown hair. Her eyes were the shape of a lotus petal, like Ma's. She had green eyes, like emeralds. Beautiful. I could see her wrinkles already.

"Hi"

It was really really akward.

"Make yourself at home. I'll bring you some tea and biscuits"

"Sure"

Dad came in at that moment. Their eyes met. They smiled at eachother and she went in and Dad sat on the couch.

I sat next to him. He then turned towards me,

"So, what do you think?"

"She's nice, I'm in love with Valry and Walry already. But where's Mason?"

Dad hesitated.

"He..."

He..? What?

"He doesn't want to meet you."
