Lily PoV

I wake up with a smile and a feeling of excitement is on my blood, I can't wait to see James.

"Good morning!" I cheered the moment I reached the kitchen, Natasha is eating.

"Hi! You are blooming." She commented.

"Thank you. I'm just having a good night sleep. Are you ready for today?" I asked as I get my own plate.

The food is all ready and to eat them is the only thing I can do. Having company in the house is really good.

"I am! Can't wait for it. I don't like to leave this place without seeing its beauty." Natasha said, reminding me that she will leave so soon and James.

I feel my own heart went heavy. I don't think I can be alone in this house again.

"Oh, did I make you sad? You are frowning." Natasha said seeing my face.

"Did I? Where's James by the way?" I asked as I wanted to see him first thing in the morning.

"James just left, he will be back this evening." Natasha's reply adding the sadness deep in my heart.

I can't help to think how I will feel the moment they will leave me here again. I am already used to see them every day.

"Oh, I see." My only comment as I don't like to ask where did he go.

-

"This is cool!" Natasha commented on seeing the garden.

"How about the secret place Jame's is always talking about? And the tree house?" Natasha asked excitedly.

"Let's go over there." I pointed the path to the place.

I then remembered last night. How we walk hand in hand. His hand was warm next to mine. He just doesn't know how it affects me. I wanted to hold his hand longer until it will numb.

"Wow." Was all she can utter as she took her seat where we sat last night.

I can still picture how I sob on his shirt, hug him and the strange staring last night

"This is peace." She said closing her eyes while her head leans backward on the bench.

"Natasha, can I ask something?" I started.

I wanted to ask her about James. I realized, I did not know anything about James for those ten years to now.

"Anything as long as I can answer you." She replied.

"How is James doing for all those years?" I should have asked him but I don't think I can ask him directly.

"Oh, I have different and many answers to that question. Tell me what you wanted to hear first?" Natasha is now facing me grinning.

Am I doing the right thing? Will I be okay?

"Hmm..." My reply as I'm not really confident about asking her.

"Why don't we start the moment I met him?" She suggested and I just nodded.

"James is a kid you can be friends with instantly." I smiled because I agree.

He is a kind soul and I can imagine everyone wanted to be his friend.

"He was talking about you every day for maybe, a year then I don't know why he just stopped but I figured out lately." I did not any more ask her as I just knew them last night.

"He was writing letters for you!" She exclaimed.

Right, those letters. How can I forget about them? I am meaning to know where are those letters.

"I don't know where to find them. I'm hoping it's just somewhere in the house?" I said to Natasha.

"I was actually searching for it," Natasha said.

"You did?"

"Yeah, I even looked for it in your room last night." She confessed and she gave me a guilty smile.

"And in the stock room but I did not find them." She added almost sadly.

"Why are you looking for them instead of James?"

"I'm here to help him. He is looking for it as well, we raided the stock room last night but we found nothing in there." Oh, that's why he got the old puzzle from the stock room.

I'm now more curious about those letters. What could be a little kid writing in there?

"Is he with someone?" I blurted and Natasha laughed at my question.

"Girl, my cousin is never with someone. I mean, I didn't see him with a girl. He is available!" I blushed as she has this teasing look towards me.

"Come on, I can see right through you! You like James." She stated and my face heated.

"Sssh!" I just said, afraid that James is already around in the corner.

"I knew it! Our soon to be a doctor is lucky. " Natasha cheered.

"Doctor?" I asked in surprise. I didn't know a thing about him, at all.

"Yes, Lily and he will be leaving for Africa next month," Natasha said and stop as she realized what she just said.

On the other hand, the information I just heard is killing me inside.

He will not just leave, but even farther this time.
