I walked back to my aunt's house alone, finishing up on the boba Jaemin made for me. As I sipped on my mango boba, I wondered what exactly Minseok's problem was with me. It's not like he was the one that was left on the beach after receiving a kiss on the cheek from someone; so what's his problem?? Then again.. I probably would be embarassed too for running away like that. But we were kids back then so what does it even matter?! As I continued to ponder about this, my back pocket started to vibrate and play "Sexy Back." Kim Jongin! Just the person for me to vent to.

"Ya, Jongin-ah. You have no idea how perfect your timing is right now," I said as I picked up the call.

"Ahh, jinjja?.. Or are you just saying that coz you miss me?" Jongin teased.

"Jeongmal! I was just thinking about calling you just now," I exclaimed. "You'll never know what kind of predicament I am in.." I explained to my best friend what had just happened to me.

"Wah, your first day in Korea and you're already making guys go crazy. Charaeseo, Choi Minji.. Good job, good job," he replied after hearing my story.

"Jongin-ah! Seriously, do you not see my problem here?! I have to work with this guy, instead of my aunt. This guy that confessed his so-called love to me when I was merely 7 years old! This guy that completely ignored me when he saw me just not too long ago!" I vented to him.

"Chill, noona. I understand your frustration. I'm jealous, even; this guy that you havent seen in 10 years has gotten your attention.." Jongin said a bit quietly.

"Pfft. He's got my attention, but not in a good way! Gosh, I wish you were here with me right now; this trip would've been a lot easier to handle if I was with someone I actually knew.." I said to him as I reached my aunt's house. I opened the front door with the spare key I was given, took my shoes off, and headed to the room I was staying in to go lie down on the soft queen-sized bed.

"Well, if it makes you feel any better, if that Minseok guy was a real man, he would have been able to handle that awkward situation better and should have greeted you, even if he was all embarassed." Jongin said. "But really, noona.. If it's that awkward for you, just tell your aunt that you'd rather not have him train you.. Or you could always come back home and spend the summer back here.." He suggested.

"Fat chance I'll be coming home! Do you know how pissed both my parents and aunt will be if I decide to come back home? Plus, I don't think I should let some guy get in the way of this opportunity for learning. I think I should at least give him a chance, and if I don't like it, I guess I can just talk to my aunt about learning from someone else." I reasoned to him.

"Orrrr, you could spend the summer back here.." Jongin repeated again. "You know, forget about learning to bake with some guy you're awkward with. You can bake here with me!"

"Har har. Thanks for trying to cheer me up, but I'm pretty sure going back home is out of the question. Imma have to just deal with it." I responded.

"Well you know that if you have any problems you can always come to me with them right?" Jongin said. This time, I could hear the sincerity in his voice.

"Yeah, I know.." I said. "Thanks for always being there for me, Jongin-ah.." Venting to my best friend always made me feel better, and I'm so glad Jongin always knew what to say. Our conversation had ended, but we still had not hung up.

As I lay on the soft silky bed in my room, the feeling of exhaustion from being jet-lagged and the day's events had finally caught up to me. My eyelids felt heavy as I listened to Jongin's steady breathing into the phone, as if it were a familiar lullabye, lulling me to sleep.

"Jongin-ah.." I finally get the energy to say. "I think.. I'm gonna catch up on some sleep.. I feel so exhausted.. I'll.. talk to you later k?.. Thanks again..." I said drowsily as I tried my best to stay up to say a proper goodbye to my best friend.

"Dae, noona.. Sleep well. Jaljayo.." He said as I finally gave in and let my eyelids close.

I don't know if it was actually Jongin, or if it were a dream, but as I drifted off into slumber, I could have sworn I had heard someone whisper, "Saranghae.."
