2.) A Permanent Sleepover

----*Cheryl's house, Toni's P.O.V*----
We get to Cheryl's room, since her mother wasn't home it was easy to get there without a problem. "So what do you got TeeTee?" Cheryl asks me about what I got from my uncles that I could scavenge. "Well I got...my camera...sketchbook, school supplies, art supplies, my serpent jacket, my flannel, a shirt, my jeans, and pjs...I guess I didn't grab much...I have the phone charger and phone too" Cheryl walks over to be. "That's okay...we can share clothes." She puts her hand on my shoulder, I start to feel butterflies in my stomach, I guess she is my type...wait...she has a girlfriend....I can't. I smile. "Yeah I guess so." She smiles back. I sit on the edge of her bed with her. We both have a sketch book in hand. Cheryl gets up and puts on beach boys by mccafferty (which is a great song I recommend it) "this is one of my favorite songs!" I says as Cheryl comes back and sits closer to me, causing me to blush. "I love mccafferty, his music is the only thing in this hellhole that calms me" Cheryl says smiling at me. "Well now I'm in this hellhole with you." I smile as she hugs me, starting to cry. "Hey...Cheryl?" I ask her. "Yeah?" She responds. "Why...why Veronica..." I ask I think either out of jealousy or because I know she isn't good but either way I want to know. "Well...I guess Veronica is...well...I've always had....I'm not loved....and Veronica.....she was there...she cares..." she says then mumbles. "At least I think she does....." she looks down. I lift her head up to look at me. "Well even if she doesn't...you have me....and I wouldn't leave you....I promise." I wipe a tear away from her face. "Now let's get to bed." She nods. "Can you...stay up here..." I nod to her. She turns off the light and we lay facing each other. Right before I drift off into sleep I hear a bang. "CHERYL!" A familiar voice.
Veronica.....
Both Cheryl and I jump up. "What the hell is she doing here!" She screams pointing to me. "Well clearly I'm doing what you never did....comfort her!" I scream as Veronica pulls me off her bed. "Don't touch me!" I screamed pushing her off me. She moves me out of the way and walks up to Cheryl and slaps her. I fucking lost it at this point I just started punching her. "DONT TOUCH HER!" I kept screaming as Cheryl was crying. I finally stopped. Veronica looked scared. "Fine...Cheryl we are through! It's not like I ever cared anyways! I just used you!" She screamed walking out of the house. I ran right up to Cheryl and put my hand on the red mark. She ran into my arms. "Shhh...it's okay..." I held her and let her cry into my arms. "T-Toni....y-you were right...." she said. I knew I was but I wasn't going to say that. "It's okay...I'm right here, and I'll be here for as long as I can..." she finally pulls apart from the hug. I wipe he tears off her cheeks. It broke my heart to see her like this, at this point I wanted to kiss her and tell her everything I felt, but I knew it was wrong. "L-let's go to sleep..." she says I nod. She turns the light off and I feel her wrap her arms around me. I don't know how long it's been but I still haven't gone to sleep, I couldn't, all I could do was think, I didn't want to move to wake Cheryl, I looked over to see Cheryl looking at me. "H-hey...still awake?" She nods. "What's on your mind TeeTee?" She sits up. "Everythingisonmymindbutmostlyyou.." I say extremely quickly. "What about me?" Somehow she is still able to understand. "Just how someone so perfect..could be so hurt...and treated like shit..." she looks at me. "Because life is unfair....and I guess I'm not that perfect.." she lays her head on my shoulder. "But you're perfect to me." I smile and play with her hair. "R-really?!" She asks, hiding her face, clearly blushing. Which made me smile. I nod. "M-maybe now we ca-" she cuts me off. "I don't feel like it, let's watch a movie." I nod, Cheryl turns on Netflix and then starts to look at our choices, we end up watching a marathon of all the chucky movies, then we started to watch would you rather, Cheryl started to panic during that movie so I ended up holding her hand. I don't know why but this is a moment I don't want to stop, after we finished would you rather, our alarm went off. "Well time to go to school..." Cheryl said rolling her eyes. "Well at least, Veronica can't tell you what to do now." I say getting up. "Now I need clothes that will match my serpent jacket." She smiles and starts to go through her closet throwing me a red crop top, and black high waisted shorts. "Perfect!" She screams. I laugh. "Okay cherry, if you say so." She laughs along with me as I walk into the bathroom. After putting the outfit on I walk out to see Cheryl still changing. I know I shouldn't have stared but I did. "TeeTee! Sorry I should have waited to get dressed..." she looks down. "N-no it's okay!" I start blushing a lot. She finally gets dressed and we head out, of course Cheryl forgot her coat so half way to school she gets cold, I hand her the serpent jacket. "Damn that fits you well Cheryl" I say half joking half honest. She laughs. We walk into the school, and of course the first person we see is the devil herself, Veronica lodge, she was putting up flyers, but what for, I could feel Cheryl grab my hand tightly, I look over to see her almost in tears look at a paper she took off the wall. I take the paper and see what it says.  Cheryl blossom more like Cheryl bottom. And then a photo Veronica took of Cheryl only in her bra and underwear. "That bitch!" I run up to her and push her into a locker, her face still bruised from last night. "DO YOU REALLY LIKE GETTING BEAT THE SHT OUT IF BECAUSE ID GLADLY DO IT WVERY GODDAMN DAY YOU HURT HER!" I say pointing at Cheryl. "Why does it matter to you, what I do to Cheryl, it's not like you've fucked her." Veronica says smirking. I don't know why but this pissed me off. "B-because...Cheryl is my best friend and I promised to protect her and never leave her, unlike your rich ass, now go cry to your daddy." I let her go and pushed her. I walk back up to Cheryl. "Now time to take these down." I say pulling every flyer off he wall. "We are going to miss class I-" I cut her off. "I don't care! I will not let people see this!" I snap seeing her jump. "Oh shit, sorry Cheryl it's just...I guess I'm a little over protective." I say looking down, she grabs a few flyers down. "A little?! You almost took Veronica's head off!" She says I laugh a bit. "Well miss blossom get to class I'll be late but not you." She smiles as I say that but shakes her head. "No this is my fault I'm helping." We spent most of first block taking the flyers down untill the guidance counselor comes out. "Should t you two be in class?!" He says. "Yes sir...but I'm trying to help Cheryl take down these rude flyers that another student put up, here look for yourself." I gave him a flyer. "Oh my god! These are horrible, I'll right you guys a late pass or an absence pass don't worry about it, and I'll help" He says comforting Cheryl. "T-thank you sir." I smile. I heard him mumble to Cheryl sadly it wasn't too low for me to not hear. "Wow, for a serpent she is nice...you're lucky to have a serpent as a girlfriend and she is nice too" I look to him. "Actually I'm not her girlfriend...just her friend..." I say smiling. "Well, I'm sorry, you guys just seemed like a couple Hey way you looked at each other, it's that or one of you likes the other." He says causing both Cheryl and I to choke on air. Is it that obvious? I thought i hid it well?! Shit okay act normal toni, act normal. I pull off the last flyer. "I-it'd time to get back to class i guess, i know i only have 30 minutes left of history, but still, can you write the pass?" I ask wanting us to hurry. He nods and writes up a pass and a note explaiing everything, handing it to me and cheryl. I smile and head to class.
