Prologue - The Meeting

Hello everybody...I'm just here to let you all know that this was my first book on wattpad...and it was really bad. I honestly despise this book...that's why it's discontinued. Please don't let this book judge my writing skills because I have greatly improved. My most popular book is called 'Fake Love' and I would appreciate it if you checked it out...if you want to. Anyways that's all...Enjoy? 

A little boy, about three years old was playing with a little ball,all by himself on the beach. The other kids just stayed away from him, leaving the poor boy all alone. The boy threw up his ball planning on catching it back,when a gust of wind blew his ball into the water. Being a three year old boy he headed towards the water to get the ball. The ball kept drifting so the little boy hurried into the water to get the ball. But the ball kept drifting and the little boy kept walking. The toddler walked deeper into the water until he was in up to his neck. Not yet knowing the danger he was in the boy kept going deeper until finally, he went under. Panic rose in the little boy as he struggled to breathe. The boy started kicking and was swallowing water. His lungs burned then suddenly two arms grabbed him and lifted him up. It was a beautiful woman,the woman pressed platonic a kiss to the little boy's lips and suddenly he could breathe properly. He coughed up the water and vomit, while the woman looked at him with sympathy. "How are you in the water little one." The boy looked confused. "I walked." He whispered hoarsely. "You are the child?" The woman asked in complete shock. The little boy just looked even more confused. "What is that?" Questioned the young boy. The woman chuckled. "My tail." She lifted it out of the water a bit. "You surely must be the child, for no other human on this island can enter the sea. They would burn from the intensity of the salt." "What do you mean?" The mermaid chuckled again. "The salt in the ocean intensifies when a human or any other living being from this island enter he ocean." "Why?" "Because the sea witch wanted to get revenge on an ancestor of this island." The little boy nodded seeming to understand. "Since you are the child I can't have you not being able to come into the ocean because of your human lungs." The mermaid then carried the child to the shore and picked up a sharp stone. "I want you to do something for me." The little boy nodded. "What is it?" "I want you to drink this okay?" The mermaid then proceeded to cut her wrist and brought it up to the little boy's mouth. "Drink." The boy obeyed and tried to ignore the metallic taste but he was three years old. He cringed at the taste,not wanting to drink anymore. He started to tears up. "I don't like it." The mer sighed. "That's alright. You drank enough. I have to go now but take a drink of the sea water and say these words. 'I your name am bonded to the sea. I shall be one with it and live with legs. Got it?" The little boy nodded and the woman dove back into the sea as the faint sound of a bell was heard. The boy bent down and slurped at the water and cringing at the taste of that as well. Then he said he words, being quite advanced for his age. "I Kim Taehyung am bwonded to the shea. I shwall be one wif it and live wif legs." Little did the toddler know he'd just sealed his own fate at such a young age.

The sky was a brilliant blue, no clouds could be seen as little Kim Taehyung walked down to the beach. "Just don't touch the water,okay honey?" Had been his mother's warning. The little boy sat under the shade of a tall coconut tree and played in the sand. The other kids in his village had gone to school. Taehyung was used to being alone and made do with himself. Suddenly a loud splash was heard. And Taehyung looked up to see what it was. A dark blue thing emerged from the water startling Taehyung. The boy looked around to see if anyone was looking before running and jumping into the water. He had no trouble breathing as gills appeared on his neck and his body was naturally gliding through the water. When he reached the area where he saw the thing he looked around and when he saw nothing he shrugged. Until he turned and was face to face with a cute little boy who was staring at his gills. "What are you?" The boy asked. "I'm human." Taehyung answered simply. "But humans can't come into the water." "Well I'm special." The mer boy seemed to understand but kept the look of confusion on his face." I like your tail." Said Tae trying to lighten the mood. The mer boy  blushed "thank you." He muttered quietly. "Is it your first time up here?" Asked the smart boy. "Ye-" The young boy was cut off by a shout. "Your a human!" Shouted a new voice that sounded not to far from them. "A siren?!" "The so called siren waved. "Hi My name is Jimin. And don't worry my fangs haven't grown in yet." "Wait what's a siren?" Asked the confused 'human boy'. The two others looked at him in shock till Jimin said " well he's a human." "What's you guys' names? I told you mine." "Kim Taehyung." "Jeon Jungkook." "Oh I'm Park Jimin." "Wanna be friends?" The two others nodded. "I have to get back though, my Mom doesn't know I'm a special human." "How about we meet up just off the coast everyday and be best friends? That is if the human can do it." Said Jimin in a cocky manner. "I can breathe underwater for your information." Answered Taehyung just as fiesty. Jimin's eyes widened. "I thought humans couldn't breathe under water." "They can't, I'm special." Jimin nodded. "Okay then it's settled we'll meet up everyday." Jungkook proclaimed. The others nodded. "Yay friends. All the kids back home don't play with me." "Me neither." Answered Jimin. "I have lots of friends back home."
Taehyung turned around and the mer and siren could feel the water start to get warmer. "Did you just get rid of liquid waste you humans do." Taehyung looked confused. "What's liquid waste." Jungkook scoffed "Sirens" he muttered he then proceeded to say, "He wants to know if you peed." Taehyung looked down shyly and nodded. He then came to and realized he should return to the shore. "I have to leave, but I will come tomorrow." The two nod and Taehyung swims at an inhuman speed to the shore. When he reaches, he waves to the boys who wave back and go their separate ways.
And that was the beginning of a beautiful 'friendship'

And that was the prologue yayyyyyy! Hope you liked it and I hope that this book gets recognized even though it's shit at the moment and I know this chapter was short but that's because it's the prologue. Expect longer chapters in the future and don't be afraid to tell me how to improve my story but please be kind. Don't worry it will get better though lol.
