Chapter 3- Life Is A Nightmare

Two years later

Taehyung swam quickly to the meeting spot and frowned when hesaw only one tail under the water. "Jungkookie!"He yelled. The said boy turned around and smiled. "Tae!" He smiled his famous bunny smile. "Where's Jimin?" And as if summoned Jimin appeared. "Guys! Look!" Yelled Jimin excitedly. "They're a year later but they're super sharp!" Jimin's fangs had finally grown in. "Wow congratulations Jiminie!" The said boy grinned proudly showing off his fangs before retracting them and going back to having normal teeth.  "That's not all!" He beamed. Jimin grabbed Taehyung's neck and and left a gentle kiss on his lips. The kiss of a silver tailed siren would grant you a tail, this was nearly impossible to obtain since silver tailed sirens were the most ferocious and cold hearted. "How long does it last?" Asked Tae in amazement as he watched his legs bind together quite painfully to create a tail. The pain finally hit and Taehyung cried out in pain. Jimin held him in shock. Whispering "I'm sorry" and "I'm didn't know" over and over again. The thing about this ability was that the siren had to kiss you with the intention of giving you a tail and that kissing the siren by force would not allow you the luxury of a tail.
Taehyung was out if breath when the transition was finally complete. "Tae when was the last time you cleaned your gills?" Asked Jungkook. Taehyung ignored his question while trying to keep afloat with his new tail. "Try to swim." Jimin whispered to him. Taehyung who had gotten of on a good  start started sinking and in his panic his tail wrapped around Jungkook's. A shocked moan left Taehyung's mouth while Jungkook shuddered. Jimin not having noticed looked at Taehyung in concern thinking the moan was from pain. Jungkook quickly undid his tail from Taehyung's and shied away. Taehyung looked at his tail in confusion having finally gotten balance almost naturally. "What was that?" He asked. "Well there are two types of sex options for us sea people. The first one is the one we just did if you are two pure mer then you can conceive that way but if you are not pure mer which is common you have to go on land with your partner and have human sexual Intercourse. The sea grants us the ability to go on land at age eighteen for boys and sixteen for girls. After that every year on the full moon we are granted legs. For sirens it's different. The tail thing is just pleasurable but they have to go on land to conceive,a male siren is rare but when they are of age which is twenty they go on land and conceive if they don't conceive then they have to keep going on land till they do. Sirens believe that it is their purpose to make young and protect it thus why siren families are so strong. After they conceive they are to stay on land and only return to the sea to give birth if they don't return then the child will be human. After they give birth they have to kill a sailor. Then they take care of their young,hunt for food and other stuff. Once their young have reached a certain age sirens will start killing sailors more often. Understand?" Taehyung shook his head not being able to process all he'd been told. "Let's just go for a swim together!" Jungkook sighed and Taehyung wobbled behind them. "He swims like a baby!" Jimin giggled. "Oh we have to introduce our friends come on Tae."
And so Taehyung got to see the ocean that he was kept from seeing. He got to meet new people and make friends. But they would never understand him like Jimin and Jungkook did. Soon it was time to return to the surface,the tail would wear off soon. Taehyung was completely devastated by that fact but complied, not wanting his secret out. Taehyung knew that he should have gone home before nightfall but he just needed to escape from his life for a vote longer. He fell asleep at the rock cuddled between two tailed boys. Taehyung was content at that time, he was in no way prepared to return to his nightmare.
