Brooke's pov

i wake up to my phone blasting out heavy metal rock music, the only thing that can wake me up, I turn it off and lay on my phone for a bit checking snapchat, insta, twitter and all that shit. it's my first day back in the south side since i was 8. my mum and i moved closer to my stepdad in Toledo so i haven't seen my serpent family in years, i'm nervous as fuck i hope everyone still remembers me. we've only been back a few days and know one knows i'm back expect jughead and fp my cousin and uncle. I found out i was related to them when i was 6 and me and jug were inseparable, then my cunt of a mother moved us apart and i haven't seen him since but il finally get to see him today. 

I jump out of bed and go across the trailer to the kitchen, as i walk through the living room my asshole of a step farther is sleeping on the sofa with drool dripping out of his mouth.

"lovely" i sigh to myself, i continue to grab myself a water because i have dry mouth from sleeping with my mouth open cause i'm a weirdo who gets colds in summer and my nose gets blocked when i sniff. I see my mums cig packet on the side and instantly grab it and walk back to my room. I get changed into denim shorts, fishnets that go just below my knees, my black combat boots, a red crop top and my infamous serpent jacket. I sniff my serpent jacket to smell the sweet smell of stale alcohol and cigarettes. it smelt like home.

I begin to hear my mother stirr and groan form the next room, I can't deal with her shit today so i grab my bag and her cigs and walk out as quickly as possible. now i'm one of the only serpents who doesn't have a bike, mainly because i have to pay my family's bills and alcohol addiction so i have no money to save. I begin my looong walk to south side high. I spark up and take a long hard drag and reminisce over the old times when it was just me and mum when times were good then my stepdad had to come and fuck my life up. I'm still caught up in my day dream when i hear a motorbike pull up beside me. without even thinking ive stubbed my cig and and my hand reaches for my pocket knife, being around my stepdad i was used to my reactions being wickedly fast as i never know what temper her will have every day.

"brooke? is that you" i hear a familiar voice say

"wait jug omg i've missed you so much"

I put my knife back away and hug him as tight as possible

"woah is this bad boy yours then" i say as i run my hand across his motorbike

"yep all mine u need a ride to school" he asks, i nod and jump on before he tries giving me his helmet i tap him on the shoulder and tell him to hurry.

once we reach south side the whole gang of serpents were hanging around jugs spot. I climb of the motorbike and shake my hair as it hit tangled by the wind. I instantly revive whistled from all the lads and i just turn to smile at them all, after all who doesn't love a good flirt.

"guys, this is brooke a former serpent and my cousin can we please all show her some respect she's family" i smiled as jug attempted to welcome me into the group. my eyes though were fixed souly on the boy at the back who had dark brown hair and a serpent tattoo on his neck. he caught me staring and gave my a wicked smile before eyeing me up and down then winking. I grinned back before giving him a dirty  look and rolling my eyes. got to keep up with the mind games;)

"if she's a serpent then where's her tatoo then eyy" the dark haired boy grinned

I took out a cig put it between my lips and lit it, before talking a long drag walking over to him and whispering in his ear

"meet me later and find out babe"

the dark haired boy shot me an almost evil grin and smirked at all the other lads who were now going crazy from the lack of attention i was giving them i continued smiling while taking a few more drags

"okay sweet pea enough flirting with my cousin, i don't want you being a bad influence on her" jughead laughed as he pulled us apart i laughed and stumped me cig out then strutted into my old school like it was the first time all over again.

school was all the same, boring and tiring. I had reunited with my best galdem toni and we had skipped maths to have a catch up about what i had missed, after she got me up to date i told her about the run in with the boy i had had

She told me he was called sweat pea and he had major anger issues, she had never seen him smile for more than 10 seconds unless he was trying to get a girl into bed. I thought long and hard through english and decided i would very much like to prove everyone wrong and get sweat pea to open up and smile since it something i had to do to myself.

The bell rang for the end of the day and i walk out to see sweat pea sat on his motorcycle smoking, i glanced at him and instantly got turned on seeing his serpent jacket cling to his abs and his bad boy persona it just enticed  me.

I walk straight up to him and take the cig from his mouth then took a long drag, blow the smoke in his face before smiling at him and asking

"right then, we're we going"

he smirked back at me and i could see all the dirty images going through his head, he gave me his helmet and then said

"you better hold on tight the brooke"

so that was my first chapter, if your not into smoking and drinking and smut then just click off now cause they'll be a hell of a lot of that in my book

i haven't gone too deep into brooke's life just yet but in the next chapter things will defiantly escalate and the tension levels will rise.
