An extraordinary chapter to celebrate the day we come back to our motherland at last. Two years may not seem long for us, but definitely seem like eternity for those our beloved.

A somewhat sunny afternoon in South Korea...

It was quite a tiresome voyage, but it was worth it. The little Author carried her arsenal of stuffed animals along with a somewhat too large valise down the aeroplane, looking exhausted yet exhilarated. Two years seemed too long to be aboard, but the land across the larger pond they would have to call home thenceforth; the motherland they had bidden farewell. Unlike the last boat-people waves where people embarked to a place of no return, they were fortunate to be able to visit now and then.

Just a few hours later, they could once again feel the warm soil of motherland under their feet...

A portal opened amidst the busy airport and a spirit was thrown out of it unceremoniously. She was no stranger, but this place was a stranger to her.

"Sakka-sama! Sao không đợi về Tân Sơn Nhứt rồi hẵng triệu hồi tụi nhỏ?!", grunted the familiar as she picked herself up from the ground.

"Ta chán... Cần quái gì lý do con?", gave her Author to her a mischievous grin.

"Wait a minute... Are we not going to arrive at Narita, sakka-sama? This place ain't look like Narita in my memory...", wondered the familiar as she glanced over the strange surroundings.

"Because it isn't Narita. We couldn't find a route through Japan and now we're stuck here like blind people not knowing how to read Hangul!"

"So that is the reason I was summoned amidst my morning tea...", chuckled the familiar ironically as she realised it, "As if I can read Hangul! How on earth are you hoping one who had never seen a Korean character read it for you, my Excellency?"

"Nn, though you are known as the 'Know-It-All Sherline', I'm not even hoping you know a lick of Korean (since when were we watching Korean drama?). Now, try we some Korean treats?"

Although Sherline had gotten used to how an occasional rogue her creator was, having been with the latter her whole existence making her unable to hate the miniature divinity.

That same night, in the starless night blanketing an memorable city to the South...

At last, they reached the destination. At this same airport two years ago, they had departed to seek a better future, leaving behind all those dear to them, just like many people going before them. They had gone amidst a starless night, and had returned amidst a starless night. The clouds were so thick one could barely see the moonlight and the sky was so dark as if an endless abyss was hanging above the head. The light shone bright from the streets as if its denizens had never gone to sleep. The motherland widened her arms to embrace the people had returned tonight, her always beloved children. They had never a moment forgotten about her, never a moment without a thought dedicated to her and never a moment without thinking about the day they would return.

At last, the Author could again live in her past, the past with the days when she had little to concern about (though in reality, there was a lot to concern about). The grounds felt so familiar yet so distant, and there was a feeling so warm that she feared to leave. Generations of her family had never thought of leaving this land, yet many had left when the war ended, to find themselves a light at the end of the dark and tumultuous tunnel; she herself had also gone, gone like a canary flew away from its cage to where it could reach its dreams. Somehow, there was a strange feeling, it felt like once she left again, she could not return until very long after; how long would it be, she couldn't know. If it was true, this would be the last happy days that she might savour when it still lasted.
