Isabella's point of View.

It was finally Friday. I walked to my locker, feeling happy that I finally got to leave this so called "happy place".  I grabbed what I needed, and walked towards the back of the school.

As I was walking, I heard a familiar voice call me. "Hey Isabella!" they yelled out. Recognizing who it was, I turned around, smiling at my friend Jacob. "Hey" I replied, walking towards him. Jacob was my bestfriend. He was the captain of the football team.  People would always tell us that we would make a cute couple. My friends liked to say that we were secretly dating.  "How are you? How's your mom?" He asked me. "Im good, my moms doing okay" I smiled.

My dad left my mom and I one year ago. Things have been really hard for my mom ever since. I insisted on getting a job, but she told me that I needed to focus on my education.

"Did you hear about the Masquerade Ball? It's next week" He informed me. "Yeah, Hailey told me about it" I explained. "Are you gonna go?" He asked me as a smirk appeared onto his face.  "I'm not sure. I have no one to go with." I looked down. I had nothing to wear either.

I always felt nervous while going to events. What if I did something wrong? Or what if something really bad happened?

"Bella?" Jacob waved his hands in my face. "Yeah?" I questioned him. "You dozed off" he chuckled. "Oh." I awkwardly smiled.  "Anyway, I'll go with you. If you want, Hailey and Kylie can come with us too" He informed me. Hailey and Kylie were my best friends. "Okay. I'll see you on Monday." I waved. "Okay, bye." he waved back.

I stepped out of the shower and grabbed my white towel. I then dried myself off, wrapping the towel around my body.

After I was done, I walked to my room. Realizing that it was colder then before, I closed my window, and turned my heater on. I walked over to my mirror, and looked at my reflection.

Sigh

Why was it so cold in here? My window was closed before wasn't it? I probably opened it when I got home. I quickly put on a pair of white shorts with a tank top.

I walked towards my bed, and grabbed my phone. I looked through my text messages. I had a few from Kylie and Hailey. They were talking about the ball. I also had one from my mom. She told me that she would be working late tonight. I scrolled down to see a message from an unsaved number.

Can't wait to hold you close to me, Angel.

What the hell? Is this some kind of joke? Maybe my friends were trying to be funny. I hesitantly clicked the block button.
