You stared dumbly at the phone. "Hey?" You read outloud, dumbfounded. "Oh I know he did not just-" You sighed, calling your friend.

"Hey angelcakes whats up?" Her voice called in, happy to hear you as usual.
"Nathan unblocked me."
"Oh?" You could hear the smile in her voice and the rustling as she presumably sat up.
"He just sent 'hey'."
She paused. "Hey?"
"Yup."
"Nothing else? No explanation?"
"No he just said hey."
"What the fuck man?"
"I know right!" You threw up your free hand, falling back into bed and looking up. "I wonder if I did anything wrong."
"Nonesense, he's just a man and men suck."
"Yeah." You sighed, looking at the popcorn ceiling as if the little raised bumps were stars. "What do I do now?"
"Just be like 'hey' see if he gets comfy again."
You sighed, "I wonder if it's the crush thing. Maybe he found out. "
"Don't worry just don't bring it up okay? See if he mentions it. I gotta go, love. See you soon?"
" Yeah, you're right. I love you, goodnight. "
She reiterated her goodbyes and you blankly stated at your phone screen.
