Possession - Scott summers (re-writing)

Chapter 8

Pete flew above the fight roaring, I grinned looking below seeing everyone got split up and got stuck with someone to fight, I went to help jean since she was my twin and I would always choose her first but I saw hank in trouble with physlocke. "Down Pete!" I yelled and immediately he dove obeying my command.

As I got off him, he disappeared into thin air as he wasn't needed anymore, physlocke was chocking hank as I landed, coming up behind her I conjured a baseball bat and smacked her over the head with It, she winced and fell to the ground giving hank time to nod at me in appreciation and fight her again.

I ran towards jean but was suddenly teleported into the jet once again and everyone started to appear, after everyone was collected we started to take off hoping to get away as fast as we could. The jet started to shake as alarms sounded off alerting us.

"Kurt teleport us!" jean yelled at him fear in her eyes he shook with fear "I have never done this many people before!" we all grabbed onto him as he tried but kept failing "Kurt!" I screamed as angel had entered the jet, jean used her powers to tip the aircraft in hopes to spare us time from angel.

Kurt tried one last time before we hit the ground and finally we had teleported, we landed in an empty building not far from where the fight was before. "Charles come out!" apocalypse voice could be heard from outside as he screamed, I breathed heavily scared that we were all going to die.

I looked out the window to see quicksilver screaming in pain trapped in the ground and raven being choked by apocalypse himself. "Oh my god" I breathed pressing my hand to my mouth stopping a sob from coming out, this was it, this was my vision, the one I had the night before.

This was all because of me.

I looked over to see Charles crying out as everyone begged him not go or else we were all dead, I had to go out there and stop him. I went to stand up but I was already being tugged down by jean. "Don't you dare think about it Jane" she glared at me already knowing what I was going to do.

"I have to jean! This is all because of me!" I sobbed trying to get up once again but this time scott held me "no jane this was bound to happen and none of it is because of you" hank spoke trying to calm me down.

The professor shot up "he was right, there is still a connection" professor spoke up, he laid down once again "thank you for letting me in", and he had started mumbling things to himself no doubt speaking to apocalypse.

We all watch anxiously but the wall separating us started crumbling down and outside apocalypse stood staring at us, hank turned to Scott "we need to jump" Scott nodded "just one second" he held up his finger and turned back to face me. "Just in case I don't get to do it later" I frowned confused but he placed his lips onto mine before I could question him.

He then turned back to hank and they jumped out already fighting apocalypse, Erik joined in on the fight leaving me, jean and moira to look after the professor. "Jean, Jane. Help me" the professor spoke up crying out for us.

I looked at jean confused but realised she was already helping him before I could, she was making sure I wouldn't get hurt. She started to walk closer to the fight and closer to apocalypse, when she neared the edge she stepped over it and onto thin air, still walking out she finally stopping until she was basically floating. She pulled her arms out as flames exploded out of her.

I looked at jean suddenly feeling weak as if power was draining from me, as if she was draining me. "he's not holding!" I hear hank scream out. I walk to the edge seeing jean collapse to the ground leave apocalypse to break free.

"Jane! You promised!" raven yelled out from below me, I nodded starting to cry as I realise this would be the last time I would see jean.

I created steps to the ground, as I walked down I entered apocalypse body, fighting him to control him. Inside I could hear him screaming at me, finally I stood right in front of him. "You! I was wrong to think Charles was powerful... but you, girl! You are power! I can feel it inside of you, the force... the phoenix, your sister tapped into your energy and found it inside of you. I must have it!" he reached out to grab me but before he could I finally took total control of his body.

I breathed out as I could finally feel him submit to my will, I turned to look at jean who was staring at me sobbing "jane! Your eyes..." scott yelled out, I see fear in his own, I looked through apocalypse eyes to see my own.

They were completely black.

I once again looked at jean "I'm sorry" I cried, I made a knife appear in my hand. Apocalypse following my every action and speaking every word.

I breathed in finally accepting life, love and friendship. I plunged the knife into my own heart seeing apocalypse do the same to himself, he turned to ash and floated away into nothing, I fell to the ground struggling to breathe.

The last thing I saw was my family all around me. Everyone I loved.
