Everything was huge and extravaganza.

The huge city hall lightings were partially blinding me and so was the huge crowd.

I hadn't been to any such place in a long period of time, to previously remember.... Since my seventeenth birthday.

I was standing in a corner, scanning my eyes for dad. He was nowhere to be found.

I roamed my eyes around to see any familiar face but failed terribly.

I took my phone out and typed in Uncle Daniel's number.
I wanted to text him and let him know that I was back. I hoped that Margaret had informed him about my return.

Just the mere mention of her made my eyes cross her image. She stood in a corner, centered around a pair of women, studded with jewelry, expensing gowns and familial issues.

They were all housewives and I could only imagine their discussions.

"I wonder what a beautiful girl like you is doing here. Standing all by herself.", Came in a voice making me turn around. As I saw the face; my jaw dropped low and so did my eyes pop out of their sockets.

"George?", I murmured almost in disbelief.

His entire jaw was rather covered with a beard as his eyes depicted the blue color and his features became sharper and handsome.

"Amy?", Even he himself looked astonished to see me.

Of course he didn't expect me to be found here, on my own.

"What the fuck?", He said standing still.

Before anyone of us could say anything the elevator doors opened revealing dad and former Mayor Joseph Mayhew walking towards the center of the room. His features were still the same except for his hair, that had turned grey with a certain wrinkled spots on his face.

Dad immediately walked into my direction and hugged me sideways as I smiled looking at Mr. Mayhew who instead leaped me into a hug.

"We missed you.", He mumbled warming my heart and my eyes.

"Where's aunt Monica?", I asked them looking behind them, searching for a clue.

"She's with Margaret.", He informed me and I turned to look at the spot where Margaret stood.

Aunt Monica stood right next to Margaret. She had become weaker than she used to be. Her hair were majorly grey but rather more graceful.

She stood eyeing me intently and I smiled her way before she turned her face complete giving me off an ignorant expression.

Perhaps she didn't miss me and was rather mad for leaving behind her son into a miserables condition. (If only he did stay in one)

The elevator doors opened again to reveal a tall figure walking out of it.

A tinge generated inside my heart as I felt my heart already skipping a beat.

I looked up to the figure which got more clear as it walked nearer. He had his jaw covered with a shave, but the sharpness could still be felt.

His dark eyes were static, just like the ocean at night, telling a story that's never been told. His nose pointed like it's been personally drawn by the Gods of carve. He wore a black suit and exhibited power, beauty and darkness.

My heart went into a haphazard, not knowing how to react appropriately. It brought me back the nostalgia of loving him all over again.

My feet went numb from moving as I stood still gawking at him, waiting for his reaction. I couldn't move or step aside, as he walked by me, not even bothering once to look up at me.
