Chapter 1: The Unusual Reunion part 2

    I slowly opened my eyes and felt something... or someone beside my bed. I looked around the familiar room and saw her seem-angelic sleeping face. Unlike before, her long brown hair is now in curls. She finally ditched the braided hairdo eh?  Is it because of what happened that night?

    I rose and felt something had fallen from my head. I curiously stare at the towel on my lap not because it's my first time seeing that thing (which is pretty obvious because I know it's name), but because it fell from my head. I can't remember when did I run out of hair tie. Anong ginagawa ng towel sa ulo ko?

"Don't give that innocent towel a death glare." awtomatikong napaangat ang tingin ko sa lalaking nakatayo malapit sa may pinto at may dala-dalang tray.
He still has this cold, expressionless, I-care-not aura. His hair is on it's messiest look I've ever seen, but his bangs still covers his jet black eyes with a noticeable dark circles under it. He seems so stress. Perhaps, he have lot on his plate.

"Loki..." a curve form on the side of his lips. He came near the bed and put the tray he was holding on the bedside table.

"Don't you dare passed out after calling my name again, Lorelei. It's not a good habit, you know." If that's a joke should I be laughing now?

I watch him as he dab the towel I'm staring at moments ago in the basin just beneath the bed. He stood and stare at me for a moment. He sighed and look away muttering words which are not that clear to me, but I can make out some, like "what should I do" and "heart attack". And obviously, it doesn't make sense to me. Is he thinking of something or someone?

I flinched as he hold my shoulders waking me up from my thoughts.

"In deep thoughts eh? I'm saying should I help you eat your dinner or could you---"

"I can eat all alone. Thank you for the offer. You may now leave." His eyes move a little but he remained calm. As he was about to step, I told him to bring Jaime along with him so he wake the lady. I watched her as he looked at Loki with her questioning eyes but Loki ,who is still expressionless, just nod.

"Sige Lori, magpahinga ka na." with that, Jaime stood and left the room. Loki took his step and tilt the door knob, but before leaving he looked at me once more.

"I do hope you have little room for forgiveness in you heart, Lorelei."
I let out a sigh as I heard the door closed.

Forgiving someone who betray you is not that easy. The trust issue that I thought I got rid of when I came here in Pampanga almost three years ago just got doubled that night...
