Katie's POV
I was woken up by a loud clap of thunder."Oh joy,"I said when I opened my eyes,"A thunderstorm on my eighteenth birthday."I crawled out of bed and trudged over to the closet.I grabbed whatever was on top since I don't care how I look anymore and threw it on.Once I was ready, I walked out of my room and shut the door tightly.I tried to avoid looking at Alex's door, but found myself stopping in front of it.I put a hand on the knob and rested my head on the wood.I missed my brother so much that it hurt.I just wished that he'd come home and prove that he wasn't the one who hurt me, but I knew that wouldn't happen.Alex was gone and he'd never come back.I turned the knob and opened the door slowly before I walked over to the bed.It was still unmade from the last time my brother slept in it.I was about to sit on it when my phone rang."Hello?"I answered."Where the Hell are
you,"Blake yelled,"I've been waiting outside your house for the past ten minutes! You know I hate waiting!"I took a shaky breath and said,"I'll be right there."
Jordan's POV
I glared out my windshield and sighed. It was her eighteenth birthday and I knew that it'd be a long day.I tried smiling, but the song on my radio wasn't helping any.I usually enjoyed Sleeping With Sirens, but In Case Of Emergencies Dial 411 wasn't the song I needed to hear right now.I rested my head against the steering wheel and let put a frustrated growl.I missed Katie. It felt like a lot longer than almost two years since we had last spoken.I was so lost in thought that I didn't hear Heather bang on the window."Jordan!"She finally yelled.I jumped up and offered her a fake smile."Are you comming,"She asked as I opened my door and stepped
out,"We need to find everybody."I nodded and followed her into the school. At least she quit asking me how I was because I still wasn't sure how to respond to that.
