Katie's POV

"You just had to pick a Damn chick flick,"Blake mumbled in an angry tone,"You're so stupid.I don't understand why I trust you to do anything."I just shrugged and turned my attention back to the tv, pretending his words didn't hurt me.I should be used to it by now.The way he blames me when things go wrong. The way he physically and verbally hurts me over the slightest thing. That's why it didn't surprise me when he backhanded me across my right jaw."I told you,"He said in a terrifying voice,"You always talk when I speak to you."I nodded and held a hand to my cheek.

Jordan's POV

I climbed out of my truck and walked up to Katie's front door, pausing mid knock."C'Mon you idiot,"I thought to myself,"You can do it.Just knock on her door. You can handle whatever she's got to say."I brought my hand back to knock just as the door opened."Jordan,"Katie said in a timid voice,"Do you want to come in? Mom isn't here so we can use the kitchen."I nodded and followed her inside and to the kitchen."Water?"She asked as she pulled two bottles from the cabinet."Sure."I replied, taking one as she sat across from me at the

table."So,"She finally said after a long moment of silence,"I guess I should tell you now."I raised an eyebrow and was about to reply when I saw the bruise on her face."Where'd that come from?"I asked her, pointing to it."Oh, uh,"She replied,"I ran into a door.Nothing you need to worry over, but is still need to tell you.I just don't know where to start."I rolled my eyes and said,"Two years of silence and you only have one thing to say? Well I have something to tell you.Screw you."I got up to leave, but she grabbed my wrist."You did,"She replied,"and now I'm carrying your child.Surprise! I'm pregnant."
