Aria's POV:

I sprung out of bed bright and early on this lovely sunday morning.

I got into some workout clothes, and decided to go for a run with Steve.

We met outside of the house, and made the agreement to get breakfast during out run.

Steve and I always slow jogged the first 15 minutes of out run.

"So how was your birthday?" Steve asked.

"It was pretty good. I'm really excited to go to school and wear the new clothes I ordered." I replied.

Steve took a breath. "Well, aren't you excited to join the Avengers?" He asked.

"Oh, extremely. I just am a little nervous." I paused for a second. "What if my training isn't enough?" I asked.

"It will be. You are extremely fit, and you don't cry about anything. Even the worst pain." Steve said.

I exhaled. "What does that have to do with anything?" I asked Steve.

"It's great to be tough. You can't show any remorse when you have to hurt the enemy." Steve replied.

"Even if the enemy is one of us?" I asked.

Steve took a deep breath and sighed. "Hopefully the enemy won't be any of our own." Steve said.

I nodded my head.

Steve and I began to sprint. It was now a race to see who could get to the breakfast shop faster. "C'mon! You're cheating!" Steve yelled from about 20 feet behind me.

"How am I cheating? It's not cheating to run fast. You're just slow!" I yelled back at him. Steve sped up to try and catch up to me.

"Please! I don't want to pay for breakfast, Aria! You're a billionaire!" Steve yelled.

"That's no excuse!" I joked. Steve and I have a running deal that whoever is slower pays for breakfast. No way I was paying.

I made it to the diner with Steve following 10 feet behind me.

We walked inside and I put 10 bucks in the tip jar.

"You won again?" Old Man Ron asked from behind the counter.

"What can I say? Steve is slow." I joked.

"Hey Ron!" Steve said giving Old Man Ron a high five.

Old Man Ron has been watching us race for the past 2 weeks. He loves it. Ron's owned this place for 50 years, ever since his father passed when Ron was only 22. Every morning we come here to "Ronny's Diner" for some coffee before I make Scott, Sam, and Bucky pancakes.

Steve and I sat in our normal booth.

As per usual, there was only 20 other people in here excluding us.

Ron brought us out coffees and omelettes.

"French Vanilla Latte and an omelette with chives for the lovely birthday girl; A black coffee and an omelette with bacon and toast for the solider." Ron said handing us our food.

"Thank you Ron!" I said.

"Thank you buddy." Steve said.

"Oh no problem." Ron said.

Steve pulled out $50 and gave it to Ron.

"Your meal was only $12." Ron said confused.

"Keep it. You deserve it buddy." Steve said.

"Bless your soul." Ron said giving Steve a pat on the shoulder.

Ron walked away.

"That was really nice of you Steve." I said smiling.
