The bell rings, and snaps me out of my daydream. Delanie follows Abby out of the cafeteria, as I tag behind them.

Now I don't wanna say her ass is nice because that would be rude...... but I mean her ass is nice.

First period comes along, then second, and finally third, study hall, my first class with Abby for the day.

I walk into the room praying the new girl is there, and sure enough she is. Abby signals for me to walk over to her.

"Hey girl, I was just telling Delanie here how you can sing!"

"Abby, I'm sure she doesn't want to hear that I mean, I've only just met her and-"

"Any friend of Abby's is a friend of mine. Could you let me listen?" She stares straight at me with a cheeky smile. I look down at my lap and nod as Abby puts her headphones on Delanie's head.

Her side profile is even nicer. I look down to inspect which video they're watching. It's my original. About my ex.

I guess I started to stare into space because when I looked up, Delanie's eyes were wide, and glossy with tears. The video ends and she instantly turns away from us, wiping her eyes. Still sniffly, she smiles at me.

"That was beautiful. Thank you for sharing that with me." With the same cheeky smile, she hugs me for a couple seconds.

And all I wanted to do was melt into her.

The bell yet again rings, separating us. We walk to lunch, 4th period. Our whole friend group joins us as the same table we've unofficially assigned ourselves.

We talk and talk until the subject of dating comes up.

"Yea, Cara here wouldn't know if someone likes her if it slapped her ass. Which happened once, actually."

"Literally shut up Sarah."

"Sweety, we need to get you a guy!!! Or something. Or even a girl idk what you're even into at this point. Have you ever even kissed someone?"

"Sarah really chill out." Abby says sternly.

I look up at Delanie who gives me a sympathetic look. Exactly what I need from the person I like, great.

Abby and Sarah continue talking until a new question comes about.

"So, Delanie, how about you? Do you have a boyfriend?"
