Post dismissal.
I was rushing to catch my school bus as I feared missing one. It would be the third time in that week that I would have to pay any auto-vale uncle or the metro counter for dropping me home. All blame goes to my Chemistry teacher who wants each practical to be done in the last thirty minutes of the day. And then she even wants us to clean every apparatus used in our experiment. She doesn't realise how expensive it turns for the students who can't walk back home due to the huge distance between the two. In the midst of my way, he grasped my eyes by putting his hands over them, exactly the way any typical Bollywood hero would do to surprise her heroine out there.
"Drew?" I guessed.
Yes Drew recovered from Dengue and was back after a long long time."Na", came the reply in an obviously male voice which confirmed me that it wasn't Aimee either.
Kush? I thought, but no they haven't talked for months, although we agreed on staying 'Just friends' but never in my sweetest dream I can imagine him this way.
"Maybe Barry?"
"Oh how barmy you are, you ate so much of time in guessing this simple thing." He giggled.
"Coz I'm always hungry." Did I just crack a lame joke? Nevermind.
"So how was your day?"
"Holy Shit! My bus has gone." I screamed out of sigh.
He kept silent.
"Now how'll I go? I don't have a single penny. I am sure to miss my coaching as well, which is just an hour away." My face turned sad while my eyes were dancing as an automatic reflex, according to what he said later.
"Oh that isn't a problem I guess. You can always approach me in such case. I'm never out of money, luckily." He said in a son-of-a-rich-father tone, but it wasn't pride, okay? He was just being helpful.
"Aah, aah ..... Okay!" I hesitated a bit.
"Where do you live anyway?"
"Sector 89"
"That's great, there is a direct metro to that place. You need not walk much."
"Yeah, I know. You?"
"Sector 76, nearby to your place." He said.
"I know, I know. Even Kush used to live there sometime back."
Oh I shouldn't have taken this name, I thought lately."That guy in your section? I mean your boyfriend?"
What? Who told him that? I never showed my relationship off, nor did he. It was only the close friends who knew about us and he was far from close or may be an acquaintance. Well, It was nice he knew it already. Atleast, I need not face any embarrassment in explaining about him.
"Ex-boyfriend" I corrected.
"Yeah, tell me stuff about him. It would be a great past time." He mocked.
Man! You're asking a girl to linger into the memories of her ex and that too to just kill the time? I spoke and looked at him like an earthenware dog.
