Corrine sat the quiet library, studying for her Anthropology class. The library was close to closing time and she was the only one in the room.
She checked the clock, and it was 11:27 PM, so she closed her textbooks and started to pack up.
All of a sudden, the lights went out, and she heard a jingling of keys before the opening and closing of a door.
"Shit!" She said, before rushing to the exit door.
When she jiggled the door, and tried to open it, it didn't budge.
She was locked in.
She contemplated banging and shouting until someone came, but who was likely to actually walk by a library at nearly twelve midnight?
Corrine made her way back to where she was before, but stopped dead in her tracks when she saw three burly men standing around her table.
Where in the hell did they come from?
"Who the hell are you?" She asked, masking her fear with sass.
"You've got a mouth," the green eyed man commented, while his eyes roamed her body. "A looker too, no wonder Alpha's got his hands tied with you."
"Alpha?" She questioned, raising an eyebrow.
He ignored her. "Search her bag for the book and ring."
Her eyebrows furrowed. "Excuse me, no one's searching my bag."
She took a step forward, but the other two men grabbed her arms. "Hey! Get your fucking hands off me!"
Corrine thrashed wildly, but their grip was solid.
The green eyes man stepped forward to help restrain her, but Corrine flipped up and managed to kick him in the face.
He reeled back slightly, but the kick didn't appear to injure him, but it made him angry.
"I didn't want to do this, but you left me no choice," he said, before extracting a bottle from his shirt pocket.
Popping the lid off, he took out a familiar looking bright green pill.
"Atricodium," she stated. She recalled Roman explaining it to her that night at the frat party.
"Oh, so you will spare me the kindness of explaining the dangers of taking one too many, hmm?" He trilled out, twirling a lock of her honey brown hair in his fingers.
"Get away from me!" She yelled, wriggling around in both the men's grip, but she knew it was no use.
"Hold her down tight," he ordered as he strode up to her.
Prying her lips open, he shoved multiple tablets into her mouth.
Corrine could feel the pills dissolve on her tongue, and her muscles relaxed unwillingly.
The two men dropped her, and she collapsed in a heap on the floor.
"I only found the ring box, but it's empty!" The man roared in anger, but Corrine was staring at the high library ceiling while her body was ablaze.
"What about her, Dominic?" In her daze, she saw that the two men qwere pointing at her but paid no attention to her. "We can't just leave her here like a wolf in heat!"
The leader, Dominic snarled at them. "You mutts just want a good fuck from a useless mortal. Let's get back to Roman."
Corrine heard the footsteps moving away from her, and in the distance she heard the sound of the door closing.
