"Will you be my girlfriend? "

Her words just rang through my head like a bell.

Her girlfriend..

She'd be mine.

Mine..

I didn't know what to say.

I didn't want to sound desperate, so I responded with a kiss.

My lips barely touched Emma's, just so she could feel the love I was trying to send her way.

She pulled me down by my neck and whispered into my ear,

"I'm guessing that's a yes?"

I smiled at her and then lightly kissed her neck, trailing down to her collar bone, and kissing it, before moving back, up her lips.

I pulled away after a few seconds, seeing a slightly flushed Emma beneath me.

"I love you..." she whispered...

"I love you too.." I replied, lying down beside her, as we cuddled up on the floor, my mind drifting off to the sound of Emma's slow, and stable breaths, as she too, drifted to sleep.

"I hate you so much!!!!" Her voice stung like a vicious bee's attack.

Out of no where Emma threw a plate at me.

"What the hell Em?!" I screamed,tears dripping down my face and soaking my shirt.

"I'm sorry for not being good enough for you!!!" She yelled at me,dropping to her knees onto the floor.

What was she talking about?

"You downed that entire bottle of sleeping pills Cathy! You could have died!!" She cried out.

I stared at her cold eyes..Not a single emotion in them.

"I'm sorry okay?!!" I screamed at her.

She rose from the floor,grabbing a knife,not a single tear in her eyes,as she dragged the knife across her wrist and then up her vein..

"Baby girl,NO!!!" I screamed.

Knocking myself awake.

I couldn't believe what had just happened.

Would she do that?

More importantly..Would I do that?

Hurt my princess?

I stared at her sleeping body,lying there next to me,and all I could wonder was,

"What if I lost the love of my life?"
