I went to Ella's house to talk to her.
"How long have you known?",
" you are still on that matter? ",
" how long have you known? ",
" for a while know ",
" how could you keep it from me?",
" because I was asked to ",
" and you kept it from me ",
" I don't see why you are taking something not that relevant as big",
"Not that relevant",
" yes your sister coined you,why are you putting it on me?why are you not with your sister now quarreling with her?",
"What are you talking about?",
" your sister, that's what all this is about right? ",
"This isn't about my sister",
"Then what is it about?",
"It's about your sister",
" it's about Iyore ",
" I don't understand ",
" I know that my brother is cheating on Osaro with Iyore "
"Oh",
"Yes",
" how did you find out? ",
" that's not the question, the question is why did you keep it from me? ",
" If I told you, it would have destroyed their relationship",
"That's exactly what I want",
" why would you want that?",
"I thought you were a sweet girl, who speaks her mind but you keep secrets and now I know that I do not know you at all",
I left her.
September 26,2018.
                In a decoration company.
I went to Osaro and told her but she just laughed.
" you think this is funny? ",
" you are funny,I can't believe you, yes I know you like me but I never knew you would go this far,I mean Osahon,good, sweet Osahon and little innocent Ore,you must be kidding me,excuse me", she got up to leave.
"Osaro", I called to her but she didn't answer,she left.
          So I left as well,as I drove home, I saw some boys fighting, I just couldn't believe but it was true,Obehi was among the fight, it was like a beating because he was heald down by some boys and a particular boy was hitting him,so I stopped the car and drew the boy who was hitting him from him and threw him off.
" who the hell are you? ",
" I am a family friend ",
" let's go boys",they left.
"Obehi get into the car",
" this is none of your business ",
" Obehi get into the car",I shouted at him and he went into the car,he sat in the front seat.
I entered the car and started to drive,I wanted to take him home.
"Obehi what was that all about?", I asked but he didn't response.
" I hope those guys aren't bullies",and yet no response.
"Obehi just look at your self covered in bruises,what do you think your sisters would say about this, hah Obehi", I said as I raise my voice.
" do not yell at me, you are no one to me,OK !so you don't have the right to raise your voice at me,I am tired of hearing my name again and again in my head because of you",
"You are right, I am no one to you".
I drove him home and as we parked in front of the house, Ella was in the garden so she came out to meet us.
"What happened to you?", she asked as she saw Obehi's face.
" some group of guys beat him up along the road",
"Thank you very much for saving him",
" don't thank me,it's what any stranger would do",
"Do you classify your self as a stranger,you should have known by now that you are no stranger but a member of this family, you are a big brother to my little brothers, you know they don't have a big brother by blood",
"But he doesn't see me that way",
" of course he does",by this time Ella was already holding on to her brother.
"Sis I am going inside", he said as he let go of her.
" I also got to go,so later",
"Why don't you join us for tea or you are still angry with me",
" no I have forgotten about that a long time ago",
"OK then come on in".
I went in with her and I saw Iyore, she came to greet me as she held my hand,I drew my hand off,I saw the surprised look on her face. As I walked with Ella, Obebo came to meet me.
" The advice you gave me worked ",he said.
"Really tell me all about it",
" not here ",he walked forward and demonstrated that I follow him so I did. He took me to his room.
" nice room ".
It was cream in colour and has his face painted on the wall.
" yeah,sit",
"So I did exactly as you told me, I was sitting on my own with my friends at a little joint just few streets away from here and he showed up with his crew,waiting to make trouble, so I told him exactly what you told me, if you want to fight me,let's pick a place and a date only uncivilized people fight openly and he agreed, I didn't know how but some how most of the teenagers in the area found out about the fight and came, I didn't expect it but he was all talk and no action, I beat the guy to a stupor,but the thing is what if he had beaten me in the end?",
" then you go back again still you beat him, there is some thing you must know, most bullies are bad fighters",
"Thank you, bro",
" my pressure ".
Some one knocked on the door.
" who is there?",
"It's Ella, I just want to know if Hue is here",
" come in",
"And it's true, you stole him from me",
" you can have him back now sis",
"Hue come with me", so I went with Ella and later Ella and I drank the cup of tea and Ella went to get something, (sandwich)just then Iyore came to me.
" what did I do to you? ",
" what are you talking about? ",
" you snob me,you haven't spoke a word to me since you came to visit ",
" I just spoke to you ",
" is it my sister, did she say some thing to you? ",
"Ella didn't say anything to me alright,what has gotten over you, please",
" OK but if she did,hear from me first before you judge, excuse me ",she left.
I received a phone call from Osahon but the line wasn't clear,it was network problem, so I cut the phone and kept it on the table because I was sitting in the dinner room.
I saw Obebo.
" where is Ella? ",I asked him.
" she went to make sandwich",
" yeah I know but she taking too long ",so I went to the kitchen to look for her,I saw the sandwich half done and Ella no where to be found.
I went back to Obebo.
" she isn't there ",
" I don't know, check her room ",
" where is her room? ",
" the first room on your right ",
So I went to her room, I knocked for a long time and no response so I went in, her room was like a shrine for me, my pictures was every where,even on her mirror, as I looked around the room I went to her drawer and I saw so many envelop that my name was written on it,so I picked one and read it.
" dear Hue,my sweet Hue your eyes as brown as a chocolate bar and your pointed nose,oh God few people got pointed nose in Benin and out of those few,you were one of them,it was like God took his time in molding you, and there's your pink libs,you are so blessed that you got all a woman seeks,and you just happened to be fair in complexion that if I stay too close to you I feel like I can stain you with my chocolate complexion,tall and has a broad chest even without gym,and your dark hair....",
The door opened and I let go of the letter.
"Obebo told me you were looking for me, I got a phone call about work while making the sandwich, so I went outside to receive the call, I am sorry It took too long",
" no problem ",
" actually there is,what are you doing reading that,it's not yours to read",she walked close to me.
"Well my name is written on it",
She took it from the floor.
" cheer up, tell me if you worked into my room and saw a letter written "Ella" you wouldn't read it",
"OK I will, but do not ever read my envelope again",
" OK",
"So now you have read it, what do you think?",
" I think it's outside this world,here I am looking for some one who doesn't see me when some one who adores me is right in front of me,the love you have for me can not be written on paper, and reading that letter opened my eyes,Ella would you be my girl friend? ",
" wait a minute, I am not hearing correctly, I thought you said if I wanted to be your girl friend? ",
" yes that's what I said ",
" yes,yes,yes,I will, gladly",she shouted in tears.
"Don't cry", I wiped her tears with my handkerchief then kissed her.
