It didn't take you very long, but the events of the Scaley Williams Dance that unfolded into the course of the night started to toy with your emotions. The one guy you actually wanted to go with was taken, and she was much prettier at that. It was perplexing why Danny always went after girls that were obviously not genuine. You sighed and slumped yourself in the corner of the party. You didn't want anything to do with it at this point, as your eyes started to burn. Then of course, you couldn't hold it in anymore and the waterworks finally came.

  You had heard footsteps approach you but you didn't bother to look up as you were curled up in a ball. A sigh came from the figure as it sat down next to you. "Hey, Uh...Y/N?" You slowly lifted and turned your head to find Danny sitting next to you slumped over sadly. You didn't say anything however, and put your head down ignoring him completely. "I'm...really sorry. I've been an absolute ass to you, and-I..there's no excuse for it." You lifted you head again but instead of the response he was hoping for, you began to rest it on your arms. "I really liked the...skillful way, you beat the other girls to the bride's bouquet."

After that compliment you giggled a bit, having Danny smile finally just happy to see you in high spirits again. "Thank you. You did quite well too." Wallow had been able to see the conversation unfold before him, and gave a little assistance in his own way. Not too long after a slow song started playing and the lights dimmed. Danny's glance went over to Wallow giving him a huge thumbs up and a wink near the DJ's corner before going off with his own dates. "Well.." As you looked up to Danny getting up, he extended his hand towards you. "I think I owe a very sexy gal a dance." You looked at him with endearment as you slowly grabbed his hand gently as he lifted you up and walked with you to the dance floor.

"Danny I don't think I've ever slow danced before." You said nervously as he held you close with a hand holding your back and the other interlocking with yours. "Hey, no sweat I'll lead you." He replied proceeding to sway you to the beat. Though as the song picked up, he completely swept you off your feet with his swift movements along with yours. "Yeah see! You got the hang of it." He said happily continuing to dance with you. As the lyrics continued, you started to feel the songs passion with your partner. The whole thing felt like a dream, and you never wanted to wake up. Chris and Beth were looking at the both of you admiring the sight before them, along with Wallow being the proudest wingman ever. A little reluctantly you got closer to him eventually resting your head against him. He however didn't mind as he held you closer this time moving his hands to your hip for support.

  Danny honestly had never felt this loved with any other girl before, which made this moment even more special. You wanted to be with him, and loved him for who he was, and it showed throughout the many years you two hung out and became best friends. As the song almost reached its end, you looked up to Danny's eyes that held endearment and pleading at the same time, and began to inch closer and closer until both of your lips interlocked being held into a passionate kiss. As the song ended, the lyrics seemed to mirror perfectly what you both felt at that exact moment.
