The trees passed and passed in a never ending trail as we drove down endless roads. Silence was my only companion in the limo from the aiport and I was starting to feel as if that was not going to be a one-time thing up here.

I looked around the limo in search for that button you press when you want that little window thig that seperates you and the driver but I just couldn't find it. The least they could do is tell me where the button is. Maybe if I move to the other seat I'll have a better view of my searching grounds. I got up quickly, completely forgetting I was still in a moving vehicle, and shot for the other seat but was greeted with the side of the seat since I fell right when I stood up. I knew I shouldn't have changed into these stupid heels that stupid jerk stupidly told me to wear. So stupid. In the process of getting up I heard a faint sliding sound. I turned my head to see Gerald staring into the review mirror, wearing a very confused face. I remembered I was on the floor, aka he couldn't see me. "I'm down here!" I yelled and waved a hand, as if he were able to see it. "Miss? Wh-what are you doing down there?" I looked around me, still laying on the ground and started runing my hands along the floor. "I, um, I thought that, uh, I'd take a nap and, uh, th-the floor looked ... nice." He made a strange face. "Uh, alright, I'll slide this up now, enjoy your nap." I nodded but shook my head remembering why I was on the floor in the first place. "Wait!" I started getting up and waving my hands at the same time which didn't quite work because I ended up hitting my back on the same side of the seat that I'd hit my head on. This day really can't get any crappier than this. No, shush, now you've jinxed yourself, idiot. I grunted and tried getting up one more time, with more care. "Miss are you alright back there?" Gerald tried peeking lower than the mirror allowed with a concerned look on his face. "Uh, yeah, just... hold on a sec." I made my way up the seat and turned into a sitting position. I cleaned off my clothes and finally felt good enough to talk. "Gerald, why is the house in Conneticut if my school's in Massachusetts?" His face turned and he looked surprised. I guess he was expecting something a lot more important to come out of my mouth.

"Well, ... I'm not quite sure but I believe it has to do with the fact that it's where his house is. The house has been in the family for decades. N-no offense, but I don't think his family really knew that one of their grandchildren who go to an Ivy outside of Conneticut. I guess you'll just have to wake up extra early every morning." He SO tried hard not to make it sound like I'm ridiculously stupid, which I so am. Come on, Lynn. That should've been obvious. "Oh, uh, yeah, that makes a lot of sense." I nodded my head and tried looking as passive as possible. "Why can't I just go back to my room in the Connell House then? That way I wouldn't be a bother to the whole house being in another state system thing." I spoke in a rush not sure of wether I was trying to convince him or myself that it's possible but Gerald shook his head. "How is a newly wed couple going to live apart from each other? I'm sorry to say this, but love is not going to be strong in a relationship like that, missy." So he doesn't know. "Welll what if we know we love each other and know how important it is for me to go to college?" I tried insisting. "Then I'm sure he'd follow you there, dear." I froze, realizing that although it wouldn't be because of love, Ryan would follow me to Harvard if I found a way to make him let me stay there. Ryan and my harvard life do NOT mix at all. There is no way I'm letting that happen. No way in freaking hell. "Why can't he be normal." I thought I had said it to myself but before I could stop, my mouth spoke for me.

"Your husband wants you at home with him, I guess."

"He's not my husband."

"Yet." He added and gave me a questioning look. His face turned a different color and I could tell he figured it out, or at least some of it.

We arrived at an enormous gate made out of black iron bars and concrete walls at the ends. I turned and pressed the button Gerald had pointed out to me after our talk. "Gerald? Where are we? What is this? A military base?" Gerald ignored me and started driving up once the gates opened when he put his finger in what I'm guessing is something that identifies
