•Chapter Twelve•

I was hesitant when we were asked if we wanted the tour. I'm pretty okay with heights but something deep deep down told me

Something bad was going to happen.

Since Peter still hasn't shown up and MJ protested, it left me with just Ned and the team. I probably called Peter 500 times but I still got his voicemail. Is he avoiding me?

We start to get further up the elevator and the tour guide's voice gets more and more boring. Suddenly I zone out and hear a weird buzzing close by. I start to look around but don't see the source. I meet eyes with Liz and give her a small smile, which she returns back. As I look down a loud commotion occurs and the whole elevator shakes. I, along with many of my peers, shout and try to hold onto something. It's so frustrating because I can't use my powers in front of them.

Delaney starts hyperventilating as they sway in the elevator. Then they hear a small crash and a thud. "What the hell?" Flash says as Spider-Man is now in front of them. He slowly gets people out from the ceiling leaving only him and Delaney. He comes closer to her trying to get her out.

"Hey, er miss. It's okay I'm gonna get you out of here alright? I need you to get up and hold onto my hand." Delaney looks up to see a blurry Spider-Man with his arm out to her. "I'm I'm trying." She gets up and pushes off the wall. Delaney was about to meet hands with Spider-Man, when the elevator cart crashed down. Delaney screams but doesn't feel the fall. She looks up to see her hand webbed with Spider-Man as they swing softly.

I look back down at my phone at the address. I look back up to see an old apartment. I see people pulling in their chairs from their fire escapes before the storm and lights turning on from several windows. Taking a deep breath I open the door to the lobby. As I close the door I hear thunder as I search for the right room. I see it, and then make my way up.

I make it to the right room number and I knock. Expecting to see someone with answers, I'm greeted with another question. As the door opens I see a woman with glasses and long brunette hair. "Hi is um Peter here?" The woman responds, "No he's at the library. I'm his aunt May. And you are?" I reach for her hand. "I'm Delaney."

"Oh Delaney. I've heard about you. Well the library should be closing soon and I'm making dinner do you want to stay?" I think for a second. I don't Tony wild mind. "Sure, that's sounds nice May."

[A/N: sorry guys it's been a while since I've updated and this is a short chapter but I'm really busy and school is coming up but I hopefully will update soon. Haha]
