Yeah, so hybrids have never been very fair off in society. So when Yoongis mother gave birth to him and saw that he was one of the few human children with the 'birth defect' of having extra ears and a tail, she sold him to an old man who proved to be a terrible person. Yoongi grew up as a slave and was constantly thrown around by men as he served them drinks and put up with their creepy and inapropriate touches. The only time he got off was his heat because his owner didn't want to lose money in the case he got pregnant.
Around the age of sixteen, Yoongi noticed he had large memory gaps and he didn't know what they were from untilhe saw all of the childrens drawings. He did fine with hiding it until he was slapped and beaten for dropping a tray. The beating first made him slip into kittenspace, but when he came to, he was in an alley inside a box. That was were he met Jin, the elders voice had made him regress instantly and big Yoongi decided he wouldn't come out unless necessary.
