One by one, each of the girls got up and went to their respective bedrooms, with only Sana and Nayeon staying put, watching a drama that none of the other girls found any interest in.

Jihyo's breath hitched slightly as she heard her door creak open and soft footsteps (presumably of one of her roommates) padded towards her bed.

"Jihyo?" Mina's soft voice caught her ears. "You awake?"

With her eyes closed tight shut, Jihyo stayed silent as she unknowingly held her breath.

"Jihyo stop pretending." Mina sighed and sat down next to the older girl. "People tend to breathe when they're asleep."

"Is there something wrong? Something seems off about you today."

This made Jihyo release the choked sob she had been trying so hard to hold back.

She's right. What's wrong with you?

I don't know.

Mina crawled into Jihyo's bed and engulfed the other in a hug, patting her hair in an attempt to calm her down, assuring her that it was okay.

But she didn't know what 'it' was.

And the thing is, neither did Jihyo.
