I lie on my bed, pulling out my phone. A text from Aphmau awaited me

Aph: Why didn't you get Zane for me?

You: Lets just say, we don't matter to him...

Aph: What?

You: He was having a convo with his parents and I overheard it

Aph: What?! About what?

You: "The Ro'Meaves shouldn't be in this" "This is the Lycans' fight" "They don't matter"

Aph: He.. he said that?

You: No, Garte did. All Zane did was agree.

Aph: Wow... well, see you later then...

You: We live in the same hotel, Aph. XD

Aph: Right, haha. Bye

I drop my phone on the bed, trying to get that scene out of my head. Besides, maybe Zane didn't mean it?

Oh, Y/N, stop being so naive!

I hear knocking on the door. "Y/N?"

I sigh. "Come in, Zane..."

"Hey... so, you heard the conversation that I was having with my parents..?"

I nod, sitting up. "Uh, yeah, I did..."

"You know, I was just agreeing with Father... he, you know how he is..."

I look to the side. "Yeah, like I also know how we don't matter." I shrug. "Maybe I can just go and the GF won't care."

"Y/N!" Zane reaches his hand and places it on my chin, forcing me to look at him. "I didn't mean it like that."

I look into is eyes. "Then what did you mean, Zane?"

He pulls his mask down. My heart starts pounding again, and my breath is becoming ragged.

"Z-Zane... what are you--"

"Shh..." He leans closer and soon our lips touch. It was only a second, but it still made me dizzy.

"Zane...." I breathe.

"I'm sorry if you thought you didn't matter...." He says softly. "But you do... to me..."

He presses his mouth onto mine again and this time it lasts longer.

The door opens and a bright voice calls out. "Y/N--"

Me and Zane pull away, a thin line of saliva between us, and there stood Kawaii~Chan.

She gasps and runs out of the room, and her wails were all I could hear. Zane gets up and runs after her, leaving me behind.

Helpless... you left me helpless... look into his eyes and the sky's the limit...
