This world is a horrid place.

Everyone should die.

It’s not worth it anymore.

I want it to end.

I wish this world would vanish.

Someone make it end, please…

It’s agonizing.

Lydia clutched her head, which seemed to be throbbing almost as fast as her own heartbeat. Thoughts kept running through her head, familiar, horrible thoughts, yet not her own. For a split second, the pain worsened and she clamped her azure hues shut for a moment as the thoughts seemed to recede from her head, echoing off as if they were still there, simply inaudible for a moment. It was still painful, but she tried her best to conceal the looks of agony she let slip every once in a while.

However, the only one who didn’t notice was Rhea. She was so absorbed in getting either Clyde or Zenon to notice her, that she completely forgot about Lydia, despite the fact that both of the boys eagerly glanced over their shoulders every five seconds to check up on the girl. Yet Rhea continued with her ever so self-directed conversations and flirtatious behavior, still as dense as ever.

Eventually, after ten or fifteen minutes of the woman’s droning, Clyde snapped, “Oi, would you shut up…?!” Rhea was about to snap back at him, as her fiery attitude dictated, but was interrupted when Zenon leaned over from the passenger’s seat, toward Lydia with a worried look. Rhea batted her eyelashes, expecting him to pay tribute to her as if she were some kind of Goddess; she was strangely disappointed when he was concerned for her friend. A solemn look painted itself across his face, “Hey, I know you’re not feeling well, but hang on a little longer alright?”

“Huh…?” Lydia glanced up, surprised that he had caught onto her strange behavior, she waved her hands before her face and shook her head, “I-I’m fine, please don’t worry, it’s just a headache…”

“A headache?” He asked, his viridian hues shimmering in the sunlight that filtered in through the open window beside the blonde. There was some surprise in his green orbs at just that moment. Rhea simply sighed and crossed her arms across her chest; Zenon cast his glance toward her for a few moments as she looked at Lydia with somewhat aggravated eyes, “Another one?”

“No…it’s not the same as usual,” she answered. Headaches were a somewhat normal thing for the small blonde girl, it wasn’t as if she had them all the time and they weren’t like migraines, they were simply headaches that required 500 to 1000 milligrams of Tylenol to get rid of. Neither of the girls really thought much of it, the cause could have been many things ranging from sickness to eyesight. Lydia planned on telling her parents to take her to the doctor when they got back, but for the time being, she would have to deal with it.

This one however had been different. She didn’t always hear voices and the like, especially voices with such apocalyptic thoughts…or voices that seemed to coincide with her own thoughts or actions. In more ways than one, the voices were more frightening than the headaches.

Deep in thought, Lydia flinched somewhat as Zenon placed his pale hand against her forehead. She allowed it, not struggling or moving her head away. In any event, she seemed fine and wasn’t feverish whatsoever, her forehead was actually a bit colder than usual. She felt somewhat clammy rather than blazing hot, maybe she really was getting sick...

It will be okay, Lydia, don’t worry…

That voice echoed through her ears again and she clamped her eyes shut with a slight whine as the car screeched to a sudden halt, her body being thrust forward into the back of the seat before her.

“Clyde-!” The raven-haired teen protested, throwing somewhat of a glare at the silverette in the driver’s seat, who had just barely stopped the car in time for a red light. The red orbed man shrugged his shoulders and tugged his black sunglasses down in order to look back at the girl, who returned his gaze with a somewhat awkward and fearful glance before looking away.

“You’re gonna be alright, toughen up,” he sighed as he looked back to the road and pressed his glasses back to his face, “and don’t look so scared all the time.”

I’m not scared, jerk!

Azure orbs flashed with animosity for a split second, only to rest on the back of Clyde’s head as she gave a sigh and somewhat relaxed herself against the backseat of the car as it began moving again. After a moment of silence, she declared, “I feel fine, so you guys don’t have to worry about me. It was just a headache.” She rubbed her forehead, which had collided with the soft exterior of the front seat.

“Not that we were worried,” Clyde retorted.

“That’s a relief,” Zenon grinned, patting her head a bit.

However, Rhea kept silent the entire time, she simply sat there watching. Surveying the actions between Lydia and the boys, she seemed rather distant. There was something strange about her at the moment. It wasn’t that she was jealous or anything of the sort, she was simply spectating, yet in a strange and somewhat more devious way. Like there was something she was waiting to see…

“Rhea…?” Lydia asked, noticing her friend’s odd behavior, “Are you alright? I didn’t…make you sick or anything did I?”

Inconspicuously, both Clyde and Zenon had cast their view back at the girl just in time to catch the small smirk forming on her face before Lydia’s question brushed it off. Maybe she wasn’t as dense and irritating as she appeared…

“Huh?” The taller blonde began, a generally fake smile plastered over her face, “No, of course not. It was nothing, Lydia, nothing at all.”
