A loud crash awoke the young boy along with the screaming of several guards. He was frightened, he felt paralyzed like he couldn’t even move except for the shaking that rattled his bed. A guard came bursting into his room, his face was sweating and he was almost shaking as badly as Aster was. He was only a child, no older than eight years old and only stood about three and a half feet tall. His long brown hair covered his eyes frequently so he had to constantly brush it away for him to see. He had refused to get it cut, he wanted to be just like his father, a war general, who had a warrior's tail. (A warrior's tail was basically a pony tail but only the back of the hair was there. Once the hair was long enough they would tie you hair back and shave off the top half and sides leaving only the ponytail to show. It was to resemble the kinship that a general would have with the stead that he rode into battle with.)

“Master Aster!” The guard frantically yelled to him. “We must get you out of here and to your parents so we can bring you guys back to the kingdom. Quickly! Come with me!”

Aster nodded his head and ran towards the guard. He lead him to an empty room and then the guard stopped. Aster was confused, he hadn’t been in this room before. It was empty, they had just moved there and it was supposed to be a war room but it hadn’t yet been furnished. Aster stopped and looked at the guard. “W-why did you take me here? Where are my parents!?”

The guard laughed and soon his eyes began to change. His pupils were bright yellow and his skin began to turn red. His muscles puffed up to the point where he broke out of his suit of armor and horns grew from his skull. Along with his muscles, his body seemed to grow in height causing him to tower over the boy at seven feet tall. His teeth sharpened and his body grew hair all over. When he spoke, you could hear his demonic voice send chills down your spine. He began to laugh, “Your parents are probably being slaughtered as we speak!”

Asters eyes filled up with tears and he shook his head endlessly with a speed so fast that he was making himself dizzy. He kept thinking in his mind that it wasn’t true, it couldn’t be true, for his sake. He shouted back at the demon, “NO! You’re lying!! They are alive I know it!”

The beast laughed again, “Stupid boy! Your family is dead, especially your great war general of a father! And now, you are going to die next!” The beast charged at him and Aster quickly found the strength to move his muscles again and he jumped out of the way of the demon’s path. As he missed he ran into the door that they came through and his horns got stuck in the door. Aster saw that the beast was now stalled and he quickly ran out the back entrance of the room and began searching for his parents.

He ran through the halls and screamed for his mother and father but no one was answering. All he found were the guards fighting the demons the best they could but with no avail. He almost gave up but then he heard his father's voice. He ran to the door that the sound was coming from and he pressed his ear firmly against it and heard his father yelling. “No! Stay back! I’m warning you!” Aster couldn’t sit idly by and do nothing, he pulled the door open and saw a demon standing in the room. Aster saw his father standing in front of his mother with his arms out shouting at the demon to leave his wife and him alone and that if he didn’t, he would regret it. Aster shouted at the demon to get his attention. “Hey you! Leave my parents alone!”

The creature now turned his attention to the boy and chuckled. “Awww, if it isn’t the young man known as Aster. How brave of you to stand up to me and try to save your parents. Oh I’m sorry, how rude of me to not introduce myself. My name is Dakria, my partner Helicrose should have done away with you but clearly I have to do all the work in ending your wretched family’s existence.”

Aster’s father yelled again to Dakria, “Leave him alone! He’s just a boy he can’t harm you!”

The hell spawn laughed, “No, you’re right, not yet. But when he gets older he will end up just like his father, and command many soldiers to destroy what my master has spent his whole life building. I’m sorry boy, but you must see that a perfect world can’t be inhabited by humans. You do nothing but lie and steal and betray and backstab and do many many more unspeakable things to get ahead in life. Your massive amount of greed and conflict weakened the barriers of our two realms and my master was just strong enough to break that barrier. Now we are here and we will send him out of his prison and into this world until we are able to kill every angel and overthrow God himself!”
