The next phase was going to be very difficult, but important. The Soul Inspection was very dangerous and could lead to possible damaging or destruction of the soul. When first examined, Gaster was thrown aback with surprise. The souls did not take the shape of hearts, but what seemed to be a proportional piece of a circle. Gaster searched these symbols through the Monsterpedia, learning it was the Emblem of Harmony together. Yin the sign of shadows, which represented the negativity in the Universe and Yang the sign of light, which represented the positivity in the Universe. Combined, Gaster figured he could create the ultimate being, able to bend the Universe to its will and even take over the Human World. So, he built the bond stronger between the brothers, so if anything were to happen to either of them, catastrophe would fall upon those were to kill one of them and great fortune to fall upon those who befriend them.
