The next morning the gang left the village and continued on with their journey. As usual, Aimi and Inuyasha were fighting, until Bellatrix intervened and stopped them. After that the journey was pretty silent. Within an hour or two the group was stopped by a group of distressed villagers. "A terrifying demon is in the forest near our village!" one of the villagers cried. Bellatrix placed a hand on the villager's shoulder and gave him reassuring smile.
"You and your village have nothing to fear. My comrades and I will check out this out and handle the demon," the lynx demon said softly. The villagers gave her a nod and ran back to their village.
"Are we seriously gonna help em out? We need to keep movin to find Naraku," Bellatrix sent the half dog demon a harsh glare.
"I am well aware of that but we can't just leave these poor people like that and for all we know this terrifying demon could very well be Naraku himself," she hissed.
"She has a point there Inuyasha. We don't know if this demon could in fact be Naraku," Miroku said looking at Inuyasha.
"Yeah whatever," Inuyasha grumbled. "Let's just go check it out already," The gang then makes their way into the forest. "Those villagers are out of it. There's nothing here in this forest." Inuyasha grumbled.
"I think you spoke too soon, Inuyasha." Just then a large demon crashed through the forest's trees and appeared before the gang. On the shoulders of the demon was Sesshomaru, Inuyasha's older brother.
"Sesshomaru." Inuyasha growled. Sesshomaru looked down at his brother with a deadpan expression.
"I'm a little surprised a good for nothing mutt such as yourself is still alive," he said.
"Yeah whatever. Like I care about what you have to say,'' Inuyasha shot back. Before pulling out his tetsusaiga. "I say let's just get to the fightin'." Sesshomaru jumped down off of the large demon and started to pull out his tenseiga.
"Hold on you two," Bellatrix said getting in between the two dog demon males. "I can understand you two have some kind of rivalry here but we don't have time to deal with your fighting."
"Trix is right. Sesshomaru, I ask that you and your demon leave this forest and stop scaring the villages that live in the nearby village," Aimi spoke up. Sesshomaru and Aimi stared at each other for a moment before he put his blade away.
"Very well." He turned back towards Inuyasha. "Until next time, little brother," he said jumping back on the large demon's shoulder and making the demon leave the forest.
"Well that went better than expected," Bellatrix sighed in relief. She then turned towards her childhood friend to find her in a daze. "Aimi?" Aimi snapped out of her trance and looked at her friend.
"What is it, Trix?" Bellatrix just shook her head and the gang continued on with their journey. As the gang headed south they sensed a presence heading their way with great speed.
"Inuyasha I recommend blocking Kagome. This aura is koga's," Bellatrix warned. Inuyasha gave her a nod and blocked Kagome. Soon a gust of wind rushed in front of everyone. The wind vanished leaving the said wolf demon. "What is your business here Koga?" the lynx demon questioned the wolf demon male. "If you're here to harass Kagome I advice that you leave now."
"Actually I came to speak with you," he told her. Bellatrix was taken back for a moment but quickly regained her composure. Everyone else looked at the two with shocked eyes.
"Very well." she turned towards the gang. "Go on without me. I'll catch up once we're done." The gang was hesitant but agreed nonetheless and went on without her. "So what is it you wish to speak with me about?" she asked tilting her head.
"I want to do something no wolf or lynx clan has ever done," he said giving her a determined look. Bellatrix's features are filled with confusion.
"Okay...And what is this something that no wolf and lynx clan has done?" she questioned. Koga took her hand and pulled her close. "Wh-what are you doing?!" she panicked with a flustered face. Koga leaned down to her ear.
"Be my woman. I want to join our clans," he whispered. Bellatrix's emerald eyes shot open wide. Koga pulled back slightly and looked Bellatrix in the eyes. "No matter how hard I tried to tell myself that I couldn't I couldn't stop thinking about you. So, let's do something none of our clans have ever done and join together."
"I-I need time to think about it. I ask that you give me a few days to think it over. I will have your answer by the next time we meet," she told him. He smiled and kissed her forehead.
"Very well. Until then, my sweet kitty." With that Koga left and Bellatrix made her way back to the gang. When she caught up to everyone everyone stared at her.
"So what did the stupid wolf want?" Inuyasha asked. Bellatrix lied and said it was just a little more information about their clans murder. Everyone bought it except Aimi. While everyone was in front Aimi and Bellatrix was a safe distance behind.
"What was that really about, Trix?" Aimi asked suspiciously. Bellatrix chuckled at her friend's cleverness.
"He wants me to be his woman and combine our clans. I told him to give me some time to think about it," the lynx demon told Aimi.
"I see...Well I think you should do whatever your heart tells you. I know you're concerned about what your people would have thought but what they would have thought is their own business. This is your love life. You shouldn't let someone else's opinion affect it," Bellatrix gave her friend a nod and then they spent the rest of their journey in comfortable silence.
