Okay, as you can see from the title and possibly the video (if you've seen the Greatest Showmen) that this is NOT a stephew fan fiction. I love this musical and thought it would be funny to have Matt hiring Jason this way. If you've seen the Greatest Showmen, you know whats coming up. If not, then stop what your doing and go and watch it. Feel free to watch the video above. Again, I don't take credit for this song, it just inspired me to write this fanfiction. So enjoy!

Matthew was sitting patently in a diner waiting for his friend, Jason, to show up.

When he did, Matthew waved him over to the counter and Jason sat next to him. Matthew then ordered two diet cokes.

"Hey Matt, good to see you. How have you been?" asked Jason.

"Great! How have you been?" asked Matthew.

"Great as well, haven't heard much from you since you left the company. Are you still working on that project of yours with your wife? I forgot what it was." said Jason.

"My youtube channel? Yeah, in fact that's what I wanted to talk to you about." said Matthew.

"Oh?" said Jason.

"Jason, when our boss made me go through employees to see who to keep and who to fire, I got to say you impressed me the most. I even told him that the number one person not to fire would be you."

"Well thank you Matthew. What does that have to do with your channel?" he asked.

"Well Jason, I want to heir you to come work for me." said Matthew. Jason looked at him shocked.

"Are you serious?" he asked bewildered.

"Yes, and I have already told Stephanie about you. She's open to hearing you too. She just wants to have a quick interview with you to get to know you." said Matthew. Jason sat back and ran his hand threw his hair.

"I don't know Matthew. I mean I can't just leave the job I have, the one that you fought for me too keep, to go work on a youtube channel."

"I agree. You wouldn't have to leave right away and we would work out times, however I think you are wasted potential there. Come on Jason, media is becoming the new job wave."

"I don't know Matthew. You may have to convince me some more." said Jason. They each took a swig and placed their cups down.

"Right here, right now I put the offer out. I don't wanna chase you down, but I know you see it. You run with me, and I can cut you free. Out of the drudgery and the walls you keep in." said Matthew. He tapped the counter and his cup was instantly refilled. "So trade that typical, for something colorful, and if it's crazy live a little crazy. You can play it sensible, a king of conventional or you can risk it all and see..." Matthew turned sharply towards him. "Don't you wanna get away from the same old part you got to play? Cause I got what you need, so come with me and take a ride. It'll take you to the other side. Cause you can do like you do, or you can do like me. Stay in the cage, or finally take the key. Oh, damn! Suddenly you're free to fly, it'll take you to the other side!" he finished. Then Jason took another swig.

"Okay, my friend, you wanna cut me in, well I hate to tell you it just won't happen! So thanks but no I'm good to go, cause I quite in enjoy the life you say I'm trapped in." he gets up to leave but not before turning towards Matthew, "Now I admire you, that whole show you do, you're onto something, really it's something. But, I live among the swells and I don't do youtube channels. I'll have to leave that up to you. Don't you know that I'm okay with this uptown part I've got to play. Cause I got what I need and I don't want to take the ride, I don't need to see the other side! So go and do like you do, I'm good to do like me. Ain't in a cage, so I don't need to take the key. Oh, damn! Can't you see I'm doing fine. I don't need the other side." Matthew got up at this point.

"Is that really how you like to spend your days? Whiskey, Misery, and parties and plays?"

"If I were mixed up with you, I'd be the mock of the fam. Disgraced and disowned, another one of your clowns." he faced the door to leave one more time.

"But you would finally live a little, finally laugh a little. Just let me give you the freedom to dream and it'll wake you up and cure your aching. Take your walls and start'em breaking, now that's a deal that seems worth taking. But, I guess I'll leave that up to you." finished Matthew. Jason snickered a bit then turned sharply back towards Matthew.

"Well it's intriguing, but to go would cost me greatly. So what percentage of the show would I be taking?" Matthew gave a small smiley taping the counter again for refills.

"Fair enough, you'd want a piece of all the action. I'd give you seven, we could shake and make it happen." Jason took a step closer.

"I wasn't born this morning, 18 would be just fine!" Matthew took a step closer.

"Why not just go ahead and ask for nickels on the dime?"

"Fifteen."

"I'd do eight."

"Twelve."

"Maybe nine."

"Ten." Matthew paused. Then nodded his head. Then they both sang at the same time,

"Don't you wanna get away to a whole new part you're gonna to play. Cause I got what you need, so come with me and take the ride to the other side. So we can do like I do, so if you do like me. Forget the cage, cause we know how to make the key! Oh, Damn! Suddenly we're free to fly,"

"To the other side." sang Matthew

"So if you do like I do." sang Jason.

"To the other side."

"So if we do like me."

Then again both at the same time,

"We're going to the other side. Cause if we do we're going to the other side, We're going to the other side!" they both finished. Jason and Matthew looked at each other.

"So do we have a deal?" asked Matthew extending his hand. Jason looked at him.

"We've got a deal." he said shaking Matthew's hand.
