A couple of days have gone by.

Maybe a week.

Probably a week.

Maybe even two.

I don't even know anymore.

No one is telling me anything that's going on outside of these hospital doors.

I haven't seen her face in a while, not since my mother asked Leslie to come with her.

Natasha, Basia and Hope check up on me regularly, in a cycle.

I'm woken up by Hope, changed bandages by Natasha in the afternoon and Basia is the last person I see before going to sleep.

They're not very talkative towards me.

Not that I blame them.

But they don't know the full story, they just know one side.

"You look terrible, my friend," Cedric joked as he pulled out a chair.

Reed and James remained standing with their heads bowed as a sign of respect.

"I should've known you'd show up sooner or later," I grunted and tried to sit up. "Please tell me that you've brought me reports and news?"

"We did," James said and handed me papers. Reed nudged him in the side, I saw them share a look and James sighed. "-Alpha," he added.

Cedric threw his legs over the arms of the chair and played with his hair. I sighed at his unprofessionalism and looked back over to Reed.

"Tell me what's going on, your faces don't look too good," asked as I opened the papers.

Reed sighed and grabbed the report from me to show me a page.

"The Mourgent pack has signed war with the others, they're no longer neutral," Reed said, rubbing the back of his neck in frustration. "That means-"
